Salam Dear Brothers,
After reading so many great travel & tour posts here, I have now decided to make a great road trip from Karachi to Naran/Kaghan and back home.
I will be going with my family (wife and kids) first time by road to this apparently long trip (at least for us). But I'm really feeling good as I'm planing the itinerary!
The date to start my travel may seem a bit odd to some of my friends as its just the 2nd day morning of Eid ul Azha (7-10-2014) at 5am (as I have read in many helping posts from Guru brothers here that they've suggested to leave early from KHI to leave Sindh in daylight). The reason to leave on the Eid 2nd day is that I have to attend a wedding in relatives in Lahore which would get started from 9-10-2014 (Eid 4th day).
So I need your kind help/assistance about the following:
Do I need an NOC from ACLC? I have already read here in different threads that I need it, some friends say it is not necessary. But just a bit confused as I don't know whether the Sindhi Police would be on Eid holidays or not. I don't want to give them any kind of bribe or chaey pani or eidi, as I have never given this in the past. But not sure I have to change my stance this time. Please suggest
I'm the only driver to drive and planning to stay in Rahim yar khan if I get tired. Any good secure hotels near N5 to stay at night with family in RYK?
My car will be Honda Civic 95 model. Its in good condition and I have renewed the brakes, engine oil, did wheel alignment, engine tuning, etc. Some emergency stuff i bought like, towing rope, battery wires, torch, brake oil, new spare wheel, jack, etc. Any brother has travelled in this car can share experience with me would be highly appreciated, just to some info.
I have updated the following car documents: Tax paid till Dec 2014, 3rd Party Insurance, Highway Code Book. Do I need anything else to keep with me? Please suggest?
I'm little worried about the fuel availability (CNG/Petrol) because of the Eid 2nd day traveling as it is holidays. Can someone please share his experience traveling during Eid days detailing about fuel availability, traffic situation, Police wala situation, daku (security), road blocks, etc.?
Brothers, anything else you guys can advise me to keep or to follow, would give lots of dua's from my heart!
Thanks a lot.
