Altit Fort
- It is built 800 years before & used by Raja during summer
- Islam came in this region 600 years before
- Taken over by Prince Karim Agha Khan
- It will be declared 9[SUP]th[/SUP] AJOOBA in 2017.
- Old residence area within the premises had been restored & all the families living here since their forefathers.
- One good thing that they have woman training centre inside where carpentry, Masonry, hostelling & other on hand skills have been in process.
- Inside cafeteria is built where also only women staff is working. It is linked with Sarena, Hunza. Food is good but too expensive but you must taste their local paratha & coffee there
Baltit Fort
- It is on the high altitude & was used in winter.

- There is also a trek towards Ultar Glacier.
- You will see local hand made bags & caps there made by local women
- An old traveler guide residence is linked with this fort. Very beautiful plantation by him outside his residence. If anyone interested, I have his contact number. He had mostly worked with the foreigner?s trips
Day 5 (04.08.15)
After breakfast at PTDC Gupis (Rent per day @ 3300/- for deluxe room), we left at 10:00 am towards Phundar & Teru. The whole track is full of sceneric beauty having valleys, river, streams & mountains. On the way, we bought Trout fish 2 kg from local SHIKARIS for only 800 rupees. We reach Phundar PTDC at 12:30 pm & gave the order for lunch incl. the fish. Informed them that we will come up to 03:00 pm for lunch so it should be ready.
We move towards Teru & stopped at different places for taking photographs & to look the real beauty of District Ghizar. Ghizar is a really a gift of Allah Subhano having so much beauty in this whole region. We reached at Teru at 01:30 pm & after spending some time returned back to Phundar. We have a great lunch there with ?FULL INSAAF WITH TROUT FISH OF RIVER GHIZER?. After that spending some time at Phundar Lake, returned back to PTDC Gupis for night stay.
