AoA,
Nice trip Hamza Bhai. They have a hunting season here too, but sometimes, when a Deer hits your car on the road, and it happens quite a lot here, you are allowed to take it home and eat it, they call it Road Kill.
I had an accident last year with small deer which hit my car, but I was too heartbroken, to even think of slaughtering that poor thing after the accident to make it halal, as I could see it still moving before it finally fell down... and passed away...(besides I did not have a butcher knife, I don't carry these things with me).
I tried to brake as hard as I could, but that poor thing came at front all of a sudden, the car got damaged, but I was not worried about the car, but the about the deer, my hands were shaking and I was asking for forgiveness from Allah (S.W.T), as I had no idea when that poor deer came at front of my car. I really do not want to kill any living thing for no reason.
The deer hunting is permitted here, and many people that support hunting say that, if we did not hunt them, their population will sky rocket and more deers will be involved in traffic accident and cause alot of crashes and even causing people to be killed in those traffic accidents, which does happen here as well, specially when the deer bounces off the car's hood and land on the windshield, breaking it and killing the driver or the passenger inside with all that sudden force of impact, or loss of vehicle control, etc.
I can see their arguement. Nature also has a way of balancing things out. Deers have preditors, Wolves in nature that kill them, wolves ofcourse are not too many in wild now a days, for one thing, they have been purposely eliminated from human populated areas. So, now Deer are a nuisance, and therefore, gov't allows them to be hunted for a certain time period every year, to keep their population from exploding.
Anway, nice trip pictures.... Please post more pictures if you have them.
Take Care,
Wa'Salaam.
