Aveo the brand name carries on. But the vehicle, T250, is 100% new. This product has nothing to do with the old Aveo. The car is totally new, designed from scratch. You cannot design a new car and then retro fit sheet metal from another car. So far, there are no plans to share or badge engineer this product with Suzuki.
Here is some more information: what part of ALL NEW is difficult to understand?

What Is It?

What's Special About It?
With the high cost of gas, small cars are big news these days and Chevrolet intends to stay at the heart of the action. Mark LaNeve, GM's vice president of vehicle sales, service and marketing for North America, claims that after two-and-a-half years, the Chevrolet Aveo sedan is already sitting on 40 percent of its small-car market share, and it doesn't intend to give up even a tiny slice of the pie.
"The Aveo brings in more new customers to the Chevy brand than any other model," says LaNeve. "We expect even better results from the new 2007 Aveo."
Longer, taller and wider than the outgoing Aveo, the new sedan has an all-new exterior and interior design that gives it a more upscale look. LS and LT trim levels will be offered beginning summer 2006, and customers can look forward to a wide range of features, including a two-tone interior color scheme, a radio input jack for iPods, a power sunroof, a six-disc CD changer, and steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls.
Built to carry five 6-foot-tall adults, the larger Aveo also provides 12.4 cubic feet of trunk space, and that's before the 60/40-split rear seats are folded down.
A 103-horsepower, 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine is mated to the Aveo's standard five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission. Highway fuel economy is estimated to average 35 mpg with the manual tranny.
If a new look and a long list of features don't grab your interest, the Chevy Aveo's safety rating just might. The improved sedan is the only vehicle in its segment to score a full five-star rating.
