Hi does anyone one here know if the 1.8 altis 9th gen 08 corolla in Pakistan is DBW (Drive by wire) for eg, a wire goes from the throttle body to the ecu, Or does it go directly to the excelorator
Anyone know please let me know thank you
Yes its DBW or electronic throttle as it is also known
No it is not, it was introduced in 10th gen
Yup, it is DBW. The ECU monitors the acceleration.
OK thanks guysIs it true that some early model 1ZZ-FE engines where NOT DBW?Can anyone tell from the pic if this is or is not DBW? Thank you
This car was DBW. It comes with VVT-i technology with DBW. Although experts will be better able to tell you in detail.
driven both the old model had instant rpm response while the new one lags...it means there was a wire which pulled the throttle...still wait for the experts
this in the older gen corolla, and this is not dbw, i have highlighted the throttle cable holder link on the air box and the throttle cable termination point on the throttle body
Thank you guys you have all been a great help thank you
Just for the sake of increasing knowledge.....The new City is also DBW; its response is much better comparing to new GLI...why?
Is this just because GLI has heavier body and its engine is comparatively underpowered? Or GLI's ECU is not well programmed?
new corrollanew citynew civic
All DBW
its not abt how well programmed an ecu is...gli is luxury, family, and a ship with a electric shaver motor.city is sportier, ivtech new technology, nimble, agile maneuverable, for youngsters, hard suspensions etc both are diff leagues bro
gli corolla heavy with 85hp n city lighter than corolla is 100hp with ivtec
