Dear Pak Wheelers,
I need advice from Civic Reborn Owners. Here's the problem description:

Problem:
Recently, I have started hearing Rattling sound from engine bay of my Civic 2008 during cold start between 900 RPM and 1200 RPM. It looks to me that engine is vibrating against some metal part. The same sound is heard whenever the car is started. When the transmission is engaged with brake pedal pressed, same sound is heard.

Also noticed that sometimes on bumpy roads, I hear some sort of sound which gives me a feeling that something is lose under the hood. The car has done 19,000km. I bought is used almost 6 months back.

I am suspecting that it could be engine mounting. Also took it to Honda Drive Inn, the technician there said it’s the tensioner pulley bearing causing the problem but I don’t think its the pulley causing such rattling noise only at these specific ranges of RPM.

So civic owners, please share your experience.
Thanks
