i own a corolla 1995 indus..it's on petrol..the engine is noisy frm past couple of months..during the last oil change i asked the mechanic what noise it is..he said it is tappet noise..he said wen the car is cold i mean the temperature of car is cold the don't make noise..but as soon as temp gauge goes to half tappet noise comes..it's a tick tick noise and it really annoys me..i asked another mechanic he said ur oil pump is not working properly so dats y tappet are making noise..can anyone suggest any fin please how can i get rid of it..i want the engine to be soundless...thankss please share ur reviews to help me..
get the tappets adjusted when cold and then re check

Loose tappet makes such noise get it adjust according to petrol as mostly mechanic keep loose tappets for CNG pick up and starting
it has it's own 12 valve 1300cc engine bro..
ok i ll try that but i told the same thing to mechanic to tighten the tappets he said doing that will reduce pick of ur car :(...any suggestions?

there is a valve clearance that your tappets need to be set to.... look on the internet for workshop manual of corolla AE101... it should have the tappet setting values...
