Salam fellow pakwheelers.I have decided to change my Alto's tyres from general xp 2000. My budget is 20k. My option is Dunlop Digi tyre eco size 145/80/R12 or 155/70/R12. If anyone has used euro kompact kindly share your experience.
Kindly recommend me the size. How much will they cost me per tyre? (Dunlop Digi tyre and Euro Kompact). And also a genuine dealer in Karachi that sells them.
Anyone?
Digi tire Eco = general in grip and euro compact is also part of general line up both are not good i have had bad experience with Digitire Eco and generals
Recomended areYokohama DNA ECOS 165 70 12 sizeHankook H 706 same size currently using them in my alto
How's Yokohama in terms of grip and softness? I need soft tyres as Karachi's roads have a lot of bumps and potholes. And also whats the cost price, will it cover in 20k?
Yoks are good and soft and around 16k is price Also hankooks take them as second option they are really soft
Ok. Thank you for guiding me. But why not Dunlop?
And also is Yokohama available in 155/70/R12 or 145/80/R12? I'm not willing to go for 165/70/R12 as they are too broad and will reduce my fuel economy which is already pathetic.
Because 0 grip in water Very harsh on suspension Not enough grip on high speeds
Yeah but thing is 165/70/12 will be eqaul in height to stock 145/80/12 If u want to go for 13 rims better get new Yokohama dna ecos 155/65/13Why as alto came with 155/65/13 internationaly 16k for tires set and 2k for steel rims That would be best for u
155/70/12 will be too small I looks tiny and car will have scraping issues
I'm not willing to go one size up. I'll visit the market today and search for Yokohama.
Bro if u want to keep rim 12 then size should be 165/70/12 it is in near stock height and witu wider footprint better stability 155/70/12 will be too small
Installed Brand New Bridgstone Sneakers 145/80/R12 on my Alto a few months ago, costed me 3500 x 4 = 14Ks. Very good economy tires! Used 10K Kms and they are still good as new, dry and wet both grips are impressive! Road noise is less too, however on some grovey roads it does get a little loud. Overall great value for money
Are they soft tyres somewhat like Dunlop digi tyre ec0 201?
Yes they are comfortable tires! Just the right amount of balance between stifness and comfort
Went to the market today, got Dunlop Sp touring T1 145/80/R12. So far I'm loving it's softness and grip, not bad at all.3600 per tyre (14400). I only got 1000 for the old and pathetic Generals. Total: 13400 (Balancing was included) and 800 for computerized alignment.
best of luck MASHALLAH
These are my bridgstones:
Id like if you share the tread pattern of ur tires too... as per my perception, yokohamas were on top, dunlop on second and bridgestone third... however i was pleasntly surprised with these
Good luck to op while driving in rain
Haha. It rarely rains here in Karachi.
