Engine damage you can't really figure it out. Although you can put your finger in the exhaust when the car is on and see what color the deposits are- if they're black, then the engine needs a bit of work (but it'll still do fine though), and if it's reddish, then it's a "dayum" good engine (portage bhai said "dayum" :P)
Body parts- since you know that the trunk and hood were changed, so you know there's no ambiguity there. Ummm... make sure you check to see if the paintwork matches on all panels in the car. Do check the odometer too- if it seems "dim", then it may have been in an accident. These are thorough tests btw.
You've probably got 25k more left on the standard warranty. This covers transmission breakdowns, engine stuff... and some other thing that can't be repaired without going into heavier details. The 2005 model is actually better than the one I have because this came with standard 4 disk brakes, and ABS. Mine doensn't come with ABS. It's a comfortable car, though. I've gotten no problem. The only thing that pisses me off is that the mpg figures can't ever get above 21 in city no matter what I try to do. Other than that, toyota camry is the best car when compared with the Accord. It's got a more comfortable ride since it's higher up. Power- screw it. No one needs those extra few hp's around the city. Save your money and get the camry.

d) Ummm... i think that's about it
Like I said, send portage a PM and talk to him about what you should look for in terms of damage and all. He knows this stuff because it's his business after all!
