"Rotaries are disposable engines", phobia
These are geniuses who think that Mazda is run by a bunch of dumb headed monkeys who formerly used to design disposable party plates.
Their main agenda is to absolutely convince you, so you without a doubt and firmly believe that if you're buying an Rx8, you must absolutely replace its engine after 40,000 KM. In other words, its not a car, its a toy which runs off batteries!
These people mind you, have absolutely no experience with RX8s, RX7s or rotaries of any sort. Their only knowledge stems from what a roadside mechanic told them after trying his luck on a blown rotary... which was formerly owned by a villager, who thought an RX-8 would be a good upgrade coming from an XLi as it is in the same price range.
