IN CASE OF FIRE
i've had the opportunity to deal with a few cases of vehicle getting on fire (due to my line of work) .. here are a few tips for everyday drivers
-- if the fire is in the front of the car do not be afraid, as the fuel tank or CNG is in the rear and your car won't explode
-- mostly fires are due to electrical short circuits and the first thing to do is cut off battery (use a tool from tool kit or a stone from road side)
-- never use water to extinguish use dirt and sand, even clothing can be used to kill oxygen supply
... a fire inside the cabin will take longer to grow if the doors and windows are kept closed but obviously the people should be outside
-- using senses than getting panic is always the key
BUT THEN; ON ONE OCCASION A NEIGHBOR'S CAR CAUGHT FIRE WHILE STARTING AS ITS PLUG BLEW OUT OF SOCKET. THE FIRE GREW SO FAST AND INTENSE THAT IT DIDN'T EVEN GIVE TIME TO OPEN THE HOOD AND THE COMPLETE CAR CAUGHT FIRE IN A MINUTE OR SO
