I saw this when going back from office yesterday. Accident had already happened and I saw people, police and the two cars. Really sad - I've heard it happened due to an idiot crossing the road, and funny thing is that a pedestrian overhead bridge is just next to this scene. I would say arrest that ******* and put him on murder trial as to why he caused an accident that took two precious lives. These things happen all the time on Islamabad expressway as well, where many times I've saved pedestrians crossing the road as they are walking on a footpath or jogging on a track.
7th Avenue is becoming a dangerous road. I myself survived an accident some months ago, when my mehran lost control when a bike suddenly shifted from 3rd lane into 2nd, in which I was going. To be honest I was driving fast, and my car spun when I applied brakes (bad mehran brakes you know). It hit the divider and fell upside down on the opposite side. I was very lucky to survive as I was wearing a seat belt, and just had a few bruises on my arm. Also extremely luckily it did not collide with any other car coming from opposite direction.
Car was destroyed but anyway, life is more important.
My advice, please please ALWAYS wear a seat belt as I'm alive today only because of that. Avoid exceeding speed limits, you never know who might jump in front of you suddenly (these are Pakistani roads). AND to all the pedestrians, for heaven sake, use your minds when crossing the road. Put some effort in using the overhead bridges and save precious lives. And to the police, register cases against pedestrians who cause accidents, like you register cases blindly against car drives who unintentionally kill careless pedestrians.
