the car belonged to a friend of my friend who lives in my street, apparently the owner came to pick up my friend at around 8PM accompanied by another person, my friend seated in the back, his house is situated at the top of the street, hence there is downhill when you come down. the owner decided that he will go fast and at the bottom of the street he will pull up the e-brake and do a power-slide(if it's the right term).
now, my friend disagreed and said the street is too narrow to do that while speeding, but he kept pressing but when he hit the small jump he realized he is a little too fast, hence slammed on the brakes and the car skidded down, he turned the wheels but as the wheels were locked it kept going in the same direction and hit one of the two electricity post's carrying a transformer as a result that transformer came down onto the car.
I heard a loud loud bang, came outside and rushed to the car, at that time many people were gathered and there was a cloud of smoke, saw my friend and thankfully all of them were totally fine, as the transformer fell on the front right side of the car, I was at the scene till 11 and then the owner came with my friend and spent the night at his house leaving the car there.which was later taken in the morning.the car sustained much damage both mechanically and physically but everyone remained safe.
the accident happened on 2nd Dec, the electric supply was cut-off for the most of the neighborhood, not my street though.which was recovered today.
All of this would've been avoided if he had listened to my friend and not floored the car. many people had to suffer because there was no power supply to most of the neighborhood, though I feel sorry for the boy too.
I assume he told his father,"brake he nahe lagi dad".
did not took photos at that time but took only one in the morning which is not that clear, sorry
