AA all!
I have an Automatic Toyota Altis (2006). I am the first owner, and the car has 70,000km all on petrol and with the AC on whenever the car is.
Now since April 2009, when it started to get really hot, the AC doesnt work when its really hot outside. I mean, the AC button is on and temperature coldest, but the vents are throwing very warm and stale air. Although, when the car runs for a while, say 5km, it starts giving chilled air. Also, this is only true during the daytime when the sun is scorching and temperature 40 degrees+; in evenings its (almost) fine. What could be the problem?
Also, I have noticed twice, that the AC button light is blinking. I pushed it, waited for 5 seconds and switched it back on. What does a blinking AC light mean?
I plan to go to Toyota this week, so I want to know what to have them inspect, service or replace.
And by the way, I replaced the AC gas last summer when the problem started. There was minimal difference, but now the situation is REALLY bad!
Thanks in advance,
HG
