I have a Mehran LE CNG 2004, done about 38000 km. Temperature gauge used to stand around 50 % (Needle stands straight, people having a Mehran must know what exactly I mean by that). But this summer with AC turned on, it started going a little more than that, specially in traffic jams. So I decided to remove the thermostat valve, and got the cooling fan ‘direct’.
The problems starts, the car used to stop (engines stops, panel lights turns off, ignitions does work but could not start the engine, the coil turns a little hotter then the usual, basically all signs of current problem). And even the main fuse (ignitions a 20 A) looks like a melted. Anyway went to a electrician and he said that all I need to do is get an rely fixed, which I did. So far its running ok (its been 3 days now).
Now, the question I wanted to ask you ppl, do you think that could be a problem? And one more thing as the temp. of the car stays bellow 50 % without AC turned on does that effect the performance of the car in anyway??? As there is a water pipe going into the CNG kit for water circulation. So what do you people, should I get the valve fixed back and get the fan to "automatic"???
