Since Alto and Coure have discontinued, Theres a big gap between Suzuki Mehran 800cc and Suzuki Cultus, 1000cc Which leaves the market empty for 6 lacks to 9.5 lacks totaly empty,
The only choice we are left with is used cars, Either local or Japanese,
In local cars we only have an option of buying a Suzuki Alto or a Daihatsu Coure, Chevrolet Joy, Hyundai Santro, (im talking about the 5 years old bracket, And lets keep mehran & Cultus aside too)
Then we have the so big market of too many Japanese 660cc Cars
Suzuki Kei, Suzuki Alto, Suzuki Cervo
Daihatsu Mira, Mira Custom, Sonica, Move etc
Mitsubishi I , Mini ca, and Ek Wagon
I didnt rite nissan because the Otti is similar to Ek and Pino is similar to Alto.
Mira was becoming the next Vitz, Untill the dealers introduced several other cars in the 660cc category, Even now Mira prices are going sky high, Where as Suzuki Alto and Ek wagon are still near about the 675-730 bracket.
The cars seem very attractive when compared to our local cars, and the options they have arnt avalible even in the top of the line Honda Civic and Corollas.
But the problem arises that in total atleast 10 different types of cars are coming would there spares be avalible easily? In case of Toyota parts could be imported from Dubai over night no matter the price, But would we be getting spares of Mitsubishi, Daihatsu and Suzuki with such ease?
Suzuki Alto/Kei and Cervo share the same engine K6a, and probably Mira nd mira custom also share the same engine.
So just asking are these japanese dinkies worth it? Or one should opt for a local Alto/Coure to have peice of mind?
Just a thought Japanese dinkies seem like (her chamakti cheez sona nae hoti).
Maybe these cars are very good outside Pakistan, But in Pakistani enviorment is this technology even worth it? Its like having a HD LCD with out a HD TV connection.
