I have a cd70 2011 model. How do I check and adjust its timing chain?
Align "T" sign on magnet against a grooved mark on magnet plate. Similarly in the same time align a grooved line on CAM sprocket against a mark on cylinder head, near this sprocket. Keeping these both Alignments, now adjust timing chain.
To easily accomplish the job, it is better to first keep the cam on "both valves closed" position. ( when piston is at TDC position).
Consult user manual
Lolx good one yar. I did consult the manual but it wasn't written in it.
why u needs to adjust timing chain of ur bike ? If u r refering to ofset adjustment then its being done by the automatic chain adjuster in new models of CD 70 (1992 onwards) & its clones. Full timing adjustment needs to be done as mentioned by @aiktoonamila in above post.
nice details @aiktoonamila
Thanks Bhai Jan.

I asked the mechanic whats the nut next to the oil nut for? he said to adjust timing chain so thats why I asked.
Yes for old CD 70 Engines there is a Screw for Adjustment byt newer engine have auto adjuster. so u dont need to adjust it frequently rather i shud say no adjustment is required.
