Hello guys,
After a lot of thinking, I have finally made up my mind of installing CNG kit in my Passo.
I know a lot of people would stop me from doing so because of various reasons but they all are justifiable.
The only thing that matters now is if it is feasible to install CNG in Passo 2007?
I need your input. I want to take this roller coaster ride. Just guide me and trust me this thread will be experience thread that would guide other pak wheel fellows to either go for CNG or not.
So far I have made up mind as
- I ll be installing CNG kit from CNG kit zone on Jamshed road in Karachi which I have heard is best?
- Lambda kit: As I have heard that automatic cars run best on this kit.
- Spark Iridium plugs. Don't know much but a lot of people had good pick with using these.
The reason I have opted for CNG is that I drive my car over 50 km daily. My car gives 13km/l averagely because the roads in Karachi actually sucks due to traffic. I am a internee and I can't shell out 400rs each day for travel alone. I know I can go for Pakistani cars but I hate them. Besides I have seen lots of Passo in CNG queues that have had CNG kits. Besides I have heard that CNG works great in non cvt simple auto cars.
UPDATE: Finally got myself CNG installed in my Passo from CNG kit Zone. Have driven 12 km for now. Very exhausted now, will test drive more in the morning tomorrow. Anything in particular would you like to add in my test drive so that I could test it extensively?
Here are the CNG specs:
Landi Rezo CNG kit with Lambda
Neutec Advancer and emulator
KEC Cylinder
Advancer
I was charged 59k for the complete setup.
