Honda City iDSi has grabbed a significant user base in Pakistan who look for Utility, Economy and Affordability. It is a Sub Compact Sedan with clever and spacious design and fully qualifies for what it was designed to be 'A CITY car'. Moreover the legendary reliability of Honda has certainly proven by so many satisfied users.
Interior design and position of seats give you a sturdy and elevated feel in the modern cockpit. Not so impressed by its dash however the instrument cluster fills this inadequacy quiet brilliantly. This vehicle is certainly designed for utility as you have a deep trunk with ample vertical and horizontal space , you also get trays under rear passenger seats. The seats don't have limber support or vertical adjustment , rear seats are comfy but stuffy, so you would need stops to relax on long routes.
Door and inner materails are nice but the material used in the roof is seems cheap and has cardboard feel. The knobs and switches also don't have elegance. The quality of plastic used esp of the interior light buttons is hard and cheap. The internal fuze box is placed in a pretty much inadequate space and changing a simple fuze proved to be a very crampy exprerience.
Exterior design radical and not so eye pleasing, especially the tail and front light and grill design. Probably too much stress on aerodynamics and fuel efficiency reflects on its exterior design.
Fuel Economy probably the best in class, With its extremely efficient Dual Spark Plug design has certainly proved that it can save you lot on pocket on a monthly basis
Performance is mostly not the requirement of a day to day city driver and it reflects here too. The gear shift mechanism on a manual transmission is simply amazing, works like a swiss watch to the point that you feel the real professionalism behind the transmission system 10/10 here. As far as acceleration is concerned it is not so impressive, the car seems to lag behind your intent and proves that it is not designed to give you driving pleasure.
