Hello All !
I am going discuss an issue I recently faced. I think it will be helpful for someone in future.
2-3 days agao my Vitz-2009 1.0L started to give some kind of jerks in Reverse gear. I thought that something is wrong with the transmission and I took my car to Toyota Garden. They look into the issue and after wasting my 2 hours, they said that transmission needs to be changed. I came back home and looked into some details of CVT Transmission.
After doing some research I found out that I may be some kind of electrical issue. So next morning I went to another electric mechanic and asked him to check the issue.
He found out that the wire going towards Neutral Function Switch (Mechanic called it Gear switch) are damaged and that's causing the jerk in back and sometime in forward gears too. The indicator of gears in the meter was also flickering with variable frequency depending upon the fluctuation of wires.
So the mechanic repaired the wires of Gear Switch and now everything is back to normal.
Toyata Garden guys were totally unable to find out the real issue. Thanks to the local mechanic. That mechanic is located in Model Town, Lahore with the name of Saim Motors.
