    I agree with mujahid77 that the quality of body parts of GS150 is not as good as it should be. I bought mine in May/June last year and in just a few months it had rust on the exhaust pipe. In about 7000kms the speedo meter has stopped working for the third time because the ring in the hub was bent (the design in the front hub has problems). One of the front shock rods has been replaced (under warranty).

    But, the engine has not given any problems at all and it has the comfort for which I bought it. Generally, it gives above 40km/l but if I ride it between 60-70km/h the consumption is over 45km/l. The last trip from Lahore, in heavy fog, the consumption was over 48km/l, as I only rode over 70km/h after crossing Jhelum river.

    If you consider the resale value of a bike as one of the buying factors, don't buy GS.

    considering the fact that we are a third world country, and quality is an issue in every area of our lives....

    if we separate the quality issue....
    how has been ur experience with gs-150...??

    and is there any gs-125 user?...
    if according to u guys gs-150 touches 40 km/l normally... and on economy it goes around 45 km/l......
    then wat wud b the average milleage for gs-125??? 45-50km/l.........???

    @syedmohsin2k2
    Other than the quality issue, my experience with the GS150 has been great. I have mentioned before in this thread that the problems are with Pakistani parts' quality and quality control, mostly with body parts. I have not felt/found any problem with the engine or electrical systems yet.

    I bought this bike for long distance travel and comfort was one of the most important factors. Out of 7000km, may be 400km was done in Abbottabad, another ~500kms for trips to Taxila, Thandiani and Nathia Gali, rest was trips of over 250kms(Abbottabad-Rawalpindi/Islamabad/Abbottabad) to over 1900kms(Abbottabad-Skardu-Khunjerab-Kaghan-Abbottabad) and a couple of trips to Lahore. Even after an eight hour trip to Lahore, (400kms with three tea/lunch breaks) I am still fresh. It was not the case with Sprinter, which required at least four breaks and after reaching Lahore I was not at all in a mode to ride the bike again that same day.

    I am not sure about the power thing though or about the top speed. It depends on one's definition of power(which for a lot of people is burst pick-up or top-speed) or top-speed(which many people consider to be the speed the speedo-meter needle touches, even if for a few seconds). I can say that it is the most powerful bike in Pakistan markets. The top-speed is given in the brochure as 120km/h. Well, practically, the top speed of my bike has been about 105km/h as this was the speed I could maintain for longer than 5 minutes a few times (or 108-110km/h if you consider maintaining that speed for more than 3 minutes constitutes top-speed).

    Note: all these speeds were on GT Road, between Sarai Alamgir and Gujranwala. (Dual carriage-way, good road surface and not much traffic.) On single carriage-ways I have never exceeded 80km/h except for overtaking at max 85km/h.

    Mr syedmohsin2k2 this is for u sir if u only wants to enjoy the bike ride then this the best avilable pakistani made bike in pakistan but believe me qaulity of these bikes r very bad they have design these bikes greatly but our manufactures r puting these low quality parts in these bikes and surely it will frustrait u after some time.I can not tell u how many parts i replaced through my clame in this bike and i am still having problem with my few parts in this bike and now they have this new policy of clames and because of this policy they r giving us hard time about our clames which they wetre not doing in the past.This Suzuki bike division is now under the Suzuki pakistan's(car's divsion)from last few months so u can understand the situation.
    I am the guy who realy take care of my things but still i am having problem to maintain this bike.So i would like to request u PLS do no buy this bike.

    its been over two months since i bought this bike and i have done little over 3000 kms already. those 3000 kms include 700 km ride twice, 360 km ride twice and 250 km once all in single days.it has done hardly 500 kms in city but the bike has not given me any problem yet. ride quality is very good but i agree that parts quality is not as good s it should be. though hasnt given me any trouble yet but i suspect few parts will need replacement sooner than required. bike overall is a nice package and i will recommend it.

    @all

    Does gs-150 has really less top speed.
    I have a thought it can maintain a top speed of 120 easily. But as asad said it has a top maintainable speed of 105km.
    I think the gs owners do not push their bikes engine to limit (a little drag) or they are not good riders.
    Whats the reason.

    @bike_junky
    When I mentioned the top speed for GS-150, I also gave some conditions. So, if I am allowed to take it on the Motorway, I am sure that I, or anyone else, can maintain the top-speed at 120 without harming the bike in any way, without taking it over the tacho-meter red-line(10,000RPM).

    At 120km/h one would cover a distance of 10kms in 5 minutes(my min. time-limit). Please tell me of a road where I won't have to slow down below 120km/h for a consecutive distance of 10kms.

    When I say that the maintainable top-speed is 105km/h, it is due to road/traffic conditions, not the bike's performance.

    Mr mohsin please count these parts i have changed both front shocks,rear wheel hub,fuel tank,front mud gaurd,cable for my rpm meter & my speedo meter and one more thing which is on both front shocks & i dont know its technical name.Now i am having problem with my exahust and my rear wheel is shaking there is some problem in my chasses bush and as i already informed u that they have this new policy about the claims from few months and because of that policy they r not agree to change my exahust.So u can understand the quailty of these bikes and believe me its not only me who is facing these problem if u want to check quailty of there bikes u just have to spend some time outside of any of there showroom u can ask any body over there who ever coming out or going in side.
    There is no question about that, design wise this is the best bike avilable in pakistan but quailty of the parts is very poor, only comfort we had about this issue is there warranty policy which the have changed.
    So if u have spare money and time then dont worry and goahead buy this bike.

    I bought my GS150 in Sept 2005. Ridden it over 28000km, engine as strong and reliable as ever. Starts well too.
    Parts changed so far: timing chain, drive chain and sprocket set, battery. Isb is quite dry, so no rust problems yet. Speedo cables keep breaking, am on the 4th cable so far..
    Why did Pak Suzuki delete the front disc brake? Its one major weak point, specially when riding two up.

    @asad
    I think one doesn't need a 10kms empty road to attain a speed of 120kms. what about 2kms in one minute at 120 or 1 km in one minute at 120(leaving ur 5 mins limit aside). I was just asking whether it easily goes to 120 or not and burst top speed(not that u attain by dragging for 5 minutes).
    In ISD from shkar parain signal to zero point, many times i drive my bike to 100kms and if bike permits i can drive it to 120 as well (sure not for 5 minutes).

    Now every body can easily test their bike limits in ISD.
    There is express highway from faizabad to Airport chowk.
    From khanna pull to Isd chowk its all smooth and wide road.
    Just put your bike on the right lane, and drag as much as you can.:d.
    (Super bikers might still feel it short).

    congratulations buddy.
    Well,
    can any body please tell me how much fast would suzuki gs-125 be from sprinter non-eco in pick and top speed.
    And what would be the maximum fuel difference per litre between the two.

    Best wishes for every body.
