    @2468

    Keys were in pocket

    @N0m1

    Its a quite bulky bike in its class & have tremnedous road grip. However that bike is not a good attraction to speed freaks. Key fetaures of this bike are Swfit response consistant power delivery & good road grip. Brakes are quite poor & the top speed mentione above is hardly achievebale on smooth roads like this,

    Lovely pic.
    Yes GS150 is a good bike just need front disk brake & rear drum should be large enough for braking issue.

    i did 110 on korangi industrial area road quite consistently and easily many times but either the road is not long enough to do so for long or there is traffic,
    im sure my 150 can go do much more.

    But i dont have the ***** or the desire to do more .

    i only go beyond 80 on an empty or very low traffic roads, its plain & simple stupidity to go this fast on busy roads, you not only endanger your self but other too.

    i have also achieved 118km/hr several times and it hits it very easily.. but i prefer to ride on max 65km/hr bcoz its not safe to ride on high speeds.. but it can go on 118 km/hr quite easily.. have nt tried more than that bcoz as soon as bike used to reach that speed, i used to slow down bcoz we dnt have such roads in karachi.. my bike is 4000 kms driven till nw.. the people who have this bike from a long time can tell this more accurately..

    @abdathar

    Key Switch was loose & key can be sliped out due to jerks & vibration etc. so during that trip i used to keep key in my pocket after turning it into "On" position. However its not something uncommon. usually with passage of time ignition swith got loose & keys can be pulled out while ur Bike 0r Car is in start condition.

    @R1

    It is KKH. I was on way to Hunza from Gilgit & a small patch (10~15 Km) was newly made rest of the road is in very poor condition or better to say that road does not exist.

    RPM are still some where near @ 9K.V.Good.
    Regarding RPM it is showing relatively less reading coz bike was equiped with 3.50-18 Trail tyre which has difnaely increased final drive ratio. Stock GS150 gives ~110KMPH speed @9000RPM

    I am thinking from last two days, what if we replace the rear tire of GS-150 (and Rim too, which is originally 18") with the one that GN-125 used to have (i.e. 16")?

    GN-125 has more of a cruiser shape than this GS-150 because in case of GN-125, rear tire is 16" with wide profile whereas Suzuki GS-150 has a rear tire of 18" with slim profile.

    By doing so, overall speed/acceleration (and fuel efficiency) might be altered but not too much because GN-125 was already using this profile. What you guys say?

    o man what are u saying about 150...... i maked the 78cc bike to 110 km/h.... 125 to extreme end of its original meter,... and Kawasaki 110 to 130 km/h...... 150 can make more...... if your ride is in perfect condition for high speed....... normally bikes are not tuned for race conditions so thats why their output power is less for high speed gain................... u may remember that the highest speed for a MotoGP motorcycle in 125cc category is 249.76 km/h (155.193 mph) by Valentino Rossi in 1996 for Aprilia ..... its still a record........ u know this is all about the Engine.... learn the things how they work...

    i was shocked when
    i read 125cc at 249.76 km/h
    so i think i should share my research with all pakwheelers
    that don't do any thing stupid with your engines
    in the name of tuning, to get that speed
    first of all those bikes are specially designed for tracks
    even legally not allowed on roads

    and 2nd the most important thing is that
    here we are discussing
    GS150 top speed and its a 4 stroke bike
    Aprilia 125cc at 249.76 km/h RS125R was 2 stroke bike

    and still its a 2 stoke bike

    junaid bhai
    hmm , ive touched 118-120km/hr on my bike but when with a pillion the bike takes time . is there any way without any engine modifications to increase bikes top speed as well as acceleration while only dealing with the front and rear sprokets???? i know when one opts for top speed then acceleration is to be compromised vice versa but is their any middle solution to this with changes in sprokets???
