    Cool My Suzuki GS150 Euro-ll

    Hello everyone,
By the grace of Allah, I have purchased my new ride GS150.
Previously, i have owned CD70 (used around 2000Km only, sold because of too tiny engine for my needs)

My second bike as most of you here know was Junoon. Used for 11000 Km , a very nice bike. Did a lot of long tours on this bike and it was wonderful companion. It is in family use now.

Because of my touring nature and "Need for Speed", this time i went with the maximum CCs available in market aka GS150, Alhamdulillah it is my third bike in one year time period
I haven't used it much yet, so can't tell much about it yet. But i have found it amazingly vibration free and silent.
Here are few shots, please say Mashallah

Finally i found a bike which had them perfect the way i wanted but it had some black spots on right front shock but i wasn't satisfied with brakes of any other bike, so i took this bike even though it has those spots. But this sacrifice really paid off, braking is excellent, i can almost jam the wheel if i want. My friend checked it and commented," you got the discbrake for free" Rear brake shouldn't be problem on any bike i think, it's just the stock tyre isn't enough for a bike of this weight. Put a 100/90 or 3.50 tyre at rear and you are good to go.But all in all, suzuki should really pay attention to this issue, this bike doesn't have discbrake, and on the top of that their front drum brake isn't working properly also in most of the bikes
Yes my other bike which is zxmco 125cc. It have disc brake in front and rear drum size is bigger then any local market bike. I am really impressed with the brakes of it. Thats why i didn't like the suzuki 150cc of my brother, No doubt suzuki 150 have a good acceleration.
Defeat is not when you start to losing the race.....it is when you refuse to Accelerate!

So who told you that the only option is to "buy crap from AHL" :-), I have a suzuki GS500 slingshot dear, and the decision I was facing was to either go for a "brand new" local assembled GS150 or for a nicely restored GS500 and I went for the later because of the disappointing quality of the new lot. I would have still gone for a "crap 125 from AHL" as it still offers much better quality as per my personal opinion, but if you are satisfied with your choice, there is no better thing then it for you is it :-)

Here you go dear, and btw "The Suzuki GS500 is a popular entry level motorcycle manufactured by the Suzuki Motor Corporation" as per wikipedia, I wonder how one can label a 150cc single cylinder thing as a beast

there is much difference in buying a local bike and an imported bike, regardless of buying cost. Everyone is not techy enough to maintain a GS500 and has the time to search for its parts and mechanics when needed. Not to mention the fuel consumption and heavy bike mechanic's expense.

Yup that is what I am stressing dear, that even with all those hardships the inferior quality of the new 150 pushed me to take the plunge. Telling you the extent of my disappointment actually, but if it serves you well then maybe I was put off to early without testing it. I did get a funny comment from a guy on a cd70 today "bhai petrol mil nain raha aur aap yeh chala rahay hein" :p .... btw its not my routine ride so my requirements were actually different, but I would have preferred a new bike if I was satisfied with the value for money

Oh btw, its my first personal bike so no being a techie would not be a req and neither any experience in bikes :p I did ride my father's suzuki 80 more then a decade back in school but it was such a bad ride that I never developed an inclination for bikes due to it lol... would learn about it with time and lets see if I develop a passion for it or loose the little that I have totally :-)

hehe, my friend who owns a 86 model CD70 also suggested me to have an old CD70 as backup due to petrol shortage
and this is my full time ride. total local usage + occasional trips between ISL and BWP (750Km). can't afford all that on a 500cc yet
any idea about fuel consumption of your ride??? my GS150 initial estimation is 42Km/L.

GS-500 would empty one's pocket for daily commuting(No meant for daily usage in Paskistan atleast)..GS-150 is a fuel efficient bike thus light on pockets,,service and spare parts..Both bikes serve an enirely diifferent purpose and cannot be compared..
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

Yup u t right dear, but missing the point here. Who would like to go for a restored bike keeping which in perfect running condition is a painstakingly difficult task if the local assemblers start giving us higher quality products, which I wish happens someday. There is news btw that suzuki would be offering new 600cc bikes in an year, lets see when that happens
