    Cool Suzuki GS150 Euro-ll 2013

    Hi everybody
    Here is my new ride GS150.
    This is my second GS. I got Deluxe after selling the first one, but started missing the silent and smooth ride of GS so got one again.

    Brother in your opinion how GS 150 ?

    same like YBR some GS owners have complaints of mechanics and poor built quality

    in terms of top speed and braking power hows bike??

    some people also say that it catches rust very soon ??

    please shed some light

    Default Braking

    The GS150 suffers from poor braking. The drum brake setup is barely adequate one up, and two up it gives up completely. Penny pinching by the bean counters in the Finance Department.

    It's alright for an average joe. Though i will be hesitant to recommend it to someone who doesn't know little know how about bikes.

    Top speed is 105-110Km/h.

    Braking is average. No other way to put it. And even that average braking is after your drums/brake shoes are well seated.
    In my case , rear wheel drum was too wide for stock shoes and hence terrible braking. Eventually i had to get the sleeve redone and now genuine brake shoes fit nice and tight and serve for long time.

    About rust, i think Karachi riders can give better idea.

    for a 150cc bike top speed 105-110 km is not low in your opinion?

    honda 125 reaches 110-115km speed

    You could say it is. I guess GS engine is tuned for durability and longer service intervals. Hence power is little less than other 150CCs.

    At 110Km/h, CG has hard time keeping up with it.

    Bike odo is at 32000Km and it has started reducing engine oil.
    Little blue smoke is visible on hard throttle in neutral.
    No decline in engine performance.

    Thoughts??

    Any leakge noticed? at around 28k my bike started reducing engine oli as well (Talking about ravi70) got it checked and head and seals near magnet cover got leaked. So check the seals maybe they have caused this problem.

    Default Valves + Rings replaced at 33000Km

    There was no external oil leakage. And bike was reducing oil with white/bluish smoke on hard throttle.
    Plus there was issue of random missing not being resolved after servicing carburettor and checking electrical system/coil etc.

    After getting opinion from 2 mechanics and both suspecting valve issue, i decided the get the head opened and checked.
    Both valves were replaced, and got the rings set replaced as well while at it.

    Total expense around 2.5K including all the stuff + mazdoori + kharadia fee for valve facement.

    Bike is running well now. Hopefully oil reducing issue will be gone too.

    Default Headlight replaced with 100W sealed beam

    Tired of poor stock headlight of GS.
    In Faisalabad, noticed many GS at Yousuf Suzuki Autos with different headlight than stock. Came to know they were custom upgraded by the mechanic and users gave very positive feedback.

    Ended up getting it myself, and it costed just 1100 in total. Beam itself is just for 350 rupee and fits perfect in stock housing.
