    Smile My Suzuki GD 110.

    Good day, everyone.

I have made the long-awaited purchase of Suzuki GD 110 today, Alhamdu Lillah. I bought it from Empress Tower Suzuki, Lahore. It is the 7th GD here on Pak Wheels

    I call its colour love-red

Suzuki GD 110 has indeed ushered us into a new era of motor-biking in Pakistan.

Behold, a lot of performance reviews are coming your way. So stay tuned.

Below are a few Suzuki GD 110 vs. Honda CD 100 (Pridor) reviews based on my experience of both:
    General Riding Experience.
Frame Vibrations Transferred to Side-view Mirros.

    Gear Box - Transmission System.

    Features worth mentioning:
    Auto-Decompression System
    Suspension System.

    Pictures:
    Few more clicks.
    Some random clicks.
    Pictures after a Wash.

    My Solution to Kick Issue.

    Updates:
    Extremely Poor Fuel Consumption.

CG might be a street dominator but it "lacks every thing else" of being a todays bike "Big time"

You said it! That's what I've been trying to say. It just gives a general feeling of goodness to see your ride not disappointing you when it encounters the "hot-cake".

However, I do wish the scene to change with the introduction of Yamaha so as to promote competition which might eventually compel OEMs to jump-in to at least maintain the market share they had already captured. I think people of reason would at least consider product quality for once before making their purchase when an OEM is there in the game because CG might be best in acceleration or speed, but product quality is not par options now available.

Let's hope we ultimately see the motor-biking scenario revamped in Pakistan after much longing and anticipation.

Indeed Yes... lets call spade a spade... what makes me laugh is when people say "Bhai meri GD k agay to koi 125, 150 nahi thahar sakta" that makes me give a moment of silence for them and show my hand so they can talk to it..

The new news which is floating is about GS150R which under consideration by PK Suzuki to be launched as a direct Counter to YBR.

and GS150R my friend is one badA$.$ bike...

That's right. And I think YBR 125 coming with a price tag of roughly 130k is a serious threat to GD-110S which is already going for a whopping 124k! So Suzuki are definitely worried about this and will be prompted to do something about it - they won't want to lose prospective customers who, well despite getting a good quality product in the form of GD, will definitely go for Yamaha instead to get a more powerful engine, alloy wheels, front disk-brake, bigger seat, tachometer, fuel gauge, etc. at roughly the same $$$ as GD (the almost 20k difference in price is rightly justified by the additional features).

So let the clash of the titans of motor-biking industry in Pakistan begin!

Let me rephrase as a lot of people are getting another vibe. GD110 being a 110cc, still gives a tough time to CG, hence deserve more respect. If it was just a matter of "just a 12cc difference", then we also have Honda's 100cc Pridor which is lamest acceleration bike in 100cc class. Not to mention, the new PK made Suzuki Raider (no japenese quality engine anymore).

I have had it with this shittiest bike in Pakistan, so called "CG". Reliable? MY A$$. ALL other bikes i have seen are equally reliable. Speed? Meh. I would prefer an "overall package" which CG125 SERIOUSLY lacks.

Anyway, no offtopic discussion is intended. I like GD110, and i believe TZB when he shares his experience, because i have seen that happen with my own eyes. Don't just assume by hearing CG's Tremendous screaming that its crossing a million miles mark -_-

Thank you, abobobilly. The kind of response GD has got and the anticipation Yamaha is enjoying is a tell-tale sign AHL might lose over 4-decades-long monopoly in Pakistan. AHL decided not to innovate and improve over the period of time because it had no serious threat. But now it will have to ask Honda JAPAN to come to its rescue which means probably more OEMs operating in Pakistan after Yamaha because to stay competitive, on-shore production facilities are now a must after Yamaha already establishing its production facility in Karachi.

This sounds all too good for Pakistan motor-bike industry.

Please listen to my story and suggest what I should do.

So once there was a happy-running GD which started giving me a lot of rattling noise from engine head. It was already 8,000 km since last tappet adjustment, so it was long overdue. Suzuki recommended valve adjustment schedule:
    My Suzuki GD 110 -1580681

I went to Suzuki showroom for this purpose, but probably they need a hearing aid or need to see an ENT specialist to have their audibility corrected. In short, they didn't hear any rattling sound in the engine and the tappets were declared to be perfectly tuned. I reassured my GD not to be sad and I will definitely have her tappets adjusted.

So I went to my road-side mechanic who I visit for minor things like chain adjustment, nut-bolt tightening, etc. So I asked him whether he can adjust GD's tappets; he replied in affirmative and I gave him the job. It was 2 - 3 weeks ago and my GD has never breathed well since. The engine has started stalling ever-since the tappets were adjusted. I took her to Suzuki and explained my problem; they tweaked the mixture a little and told me it should be okay now. But it wasn't (as I learned when I hit the road). A few days later I went to them again and the guy their again did an "audio" test of tappets (as he suspected tappets might had been over-tightened), but declared them to be okay and again tweaked the mixture settings a little, saying if this doesn't solve your problem we will open the carburetor and check for any problem (no, I am not letting that happen; please read on).

So I went back to my road-side mechanic last night and cried out my problem, and requested him to loosen the tappets a little. He did something with the tappets and it seemed okay at the moment because engine was "hot". Now when I got up in the morning and went for a ride, the situation had worsened. The engine was stalling ever so much than before even after I had driven it for 4 - 5 km at 60+ km/h!!! And the sound from engine head has turned to a very "thick" grunting sound.

I can't make anything of it I don't know what has gone wrong with my beloved

Now I am thinking of taking it to Suzuki showroom again in the morning and just ask them to loosen the tappets fully and then re-adjust them to their proper clearance. I think this would fix both the problems: the awkward head sound and the engine stall.

I repent having had its tappets adjusted by a road-side mechanic I thought it were just tappets, he should be able to do them right.

Experts, please suggest what else am I supposed to do.
    First deserve, then desire.
