Default My brand new Suzuki GS150 (2014 model)

Bought this bike yesterday and Alhamdulillah its just what I wanted.Very comfortable and smooth ride.
    Fuel mileage:38kmpl
As soon as petrol finished in tank I added 1 litre of petrol and reset trip meter to 0.on continuous jerks recorded the reading. Did this procedure twice and got 38kmpl on first and 36 on second.
Driving speed was mainly below 40 and max was 60.
    Custom made muffler:

Well, today I went to Aurangzeb market and installed this safety guard and HID's. Truly satisfied with what I have installed.
Painted the safety guard in order to match it with the bike paint.

    AoA Brother.

If you dont mind me asking a couple of questions:

Did you notice any improvement over the stock headlight? How is the throw and the intensity of light? Did the mechanic change/alter anything in the headlight housing?

    Regards.

Hmmm... I got 55W(in reality) 8000K 1 Year Warranty for 2200rs but the light is awesome .... The bulb is motorized means High and Low both are HID and the person who is coming from front raise hands on his eyes to see something (Sorry for that) ... Thinking to switch to 75W for 2500rs or 100W for 3000rs soon.

    @12gauge
First of all my chashka is fulfilled so quite happy with it.
It is definitely much brighter than the stock one and the beam can easily be seen on a reflector far away.
The mechanic said that he will have to cut the halogen bulb walee wire. Knowing that it will void my warranty I gave him a go

It's chinese but there are qualities in chinese stuff ... The ballast weights quite heavy as compare to the local ones which are pathetic quality , don't remember the name though will check once i got 100w to be changed ... Bought it from Japan Plaza and the shop keeper is my friend... Yes it comes with a full and proper housing ... Just the ballast is attached at frame behind fuel tank and the power wires are directly connecting to the battery with a builtin fuse so no wire is cutted except the holder wires which is obviously needs to be cut to operate with original assembly buttons and the holder comes with 3 different clips(Replaceable).

LOL dont mind but you know the original wire for HIDs main power is slim then Bikes wiring and believe me the HIDs wire doesn't heats a bit... BTW original Halogen bulb in GS150 is 55w and if 55w burns the wire they don't put this bulb. Not even a lil load is seen at the battery or bike

    FYI

A true HID bulb uses a ballast to ignite the chemical mixture inside. It does not use a filament.

    • Xenon is 300 times brighter than halogen
    • Xenon can last 10 times longer than halogen
    • Xenon produces cleaner, whiter, brighter and safer light
    • A 35W Xenon bulb consumes less power than a 55W Halogen bulb
    • Halogen bulbs burn hotter than the same wattage Xenon bulbs

My brand new Suzuki GS150 (2014 model) - what is hid?w300

Halogen bulbs operate at 12V and use old lighting technology by heating a wire filament to emit light. Over a short period of time that wire filament becomes brittle, and small vibrations caused by everyday driving causes damage to the halogen filament affecting it’s light output and the bulb’s reliability.
