Post Gear Shifting Problem in New Suzuki Sprinter ECO Euro II - 2014

    Hi guys

I recently brought Suzuki Sprinter ECO Euro II, model 2014. I have facing a problem in shifting gears. They usually get stuck in between. I went to the Suzuki Showroom very next day and they just did a clutch settings from assembly and down adjustment but no charm.

Can someone confirm, does new bikes have such issues? If no, can you people suggest which mechanic should I see to fix this?

    Thanks,

    Saeed

how many kms have you covered? change the engine oil if you have not changed it yet. go for a good oil. for sprinter havoline is good. if its new and having a few kms on the odo meter, then the problem will go away soon.

Well truly speaking I have just gone 160 KMs yet. But does a new sprinter gives trouble in shifting gears? I mean you said the problem will disappear soon but what's the reason behind that?

new bike can give trouble sometimes. my brothers gs was also making the same trouble but it went away soon and it was because of the very high rpm as well. take it to suzuki motors and dont leave untill you are satisfied ride it for some more kms but dont forget to change the oil at max 300-400 kms and if you change it now, it will be very good for the engine of the new bike. congrats and enjoy it. i had a sprinter from 2008 to 2011. a very good, tough and a fuel efficient bike it isGear Shifting Problem in New Suzuki Sprinter ECO Euro II 2014 -1349924

    What is your location.

If you can come to North Karachi (Nagan Chowrangi). There is a specialist (family mechanic for my sprinter). He is very good at skills and experienced.

Problem you are telling is not a major issue and can be resolved easily.

If you are coming from Sakhi Hasan to Shadman to Nagan Chowrangi, do not use the bridge and keep going towards Upmore, take U turn (infront of Caltex pump). Now when the PSO pump comes (at your left after the Mehar CNG station) shift to service road and go straight, follow the road. You will see masjid Siddiqu-e-Akbar. After the masjid you will see service road bending, where you will find old generators and dent/paint shops. Follow this street. After 1 or 2 kms ride you will see a hoarding board (at your left side) of Meeran Autos the big S of suzuki.

Mechanic name is Tariq, contact 03212468894. If you are coming from far, better would be to confirm his availability first. Otherwise he is mostly available in between 11am - 2pm noon and then 4:30pm - till 9 or 10pm.

Previously, he was an employ of Suzuki motorcycles. Worked as head in the claim department. He left Suzuki due to pathetic management.

Thanks for all the info. Could you please share some experience of evaualiting this guy you are reffering too. There are alot of Suzuki mechanics available and each of them claims to be best at their own. Whereas we know how well trained they're. As far as my experience is concern, I can only conclude that mechanics are the only one who ruins your vehicle with their stupid ideas and expertise. I need a mechanic who is well educated in terms of understanding the problem and resolving it.

I can you give you an example to make it more understood. Just vist any three of Suzuki mechanics (the best you think are) and just tell them you story. Each of them will come with a new finding. Now, what you gona think is right?

This is the reason I'm asking everyone to give their inputs so we can judge which mechanic gona be good of us.

I have been using Sprinter (my first Suzuki machine) for over an year now. I have been with this mechanic for the last one year now and never had issues with this mechanic. I am fully satisfied. He is good to know what rider actually wants. He use to tune my bike according to my riding style. Tuning intervals increase marginally, bike has become big time fuel efficient very very light in ride. In short he knows everything about a Suzuki technology in bikes.

Many a time I asked stupid questions, asked some modifications, every-time he replied sensibly and I got a satisfied answer.

Just to mention, initially I also tried 3 - 4 other mechanics (who I personally know as good) but they were not as good as this guy. Except one senior mechanic @ Mehran motors, Suzuki show room at Akber road / Burns road. He (Abdul Razzaq bhai) was also very professional. Only problem is time for me. I live in North so it is almost impossible for me to go there and that to in Saddar (a big pain) on regular basis.

The mechanic at Nagan chowk is equally good as him.

    Now,

You might want to give him a try, a tuning from him. See if could find any improvement.

    Best,
