Default My Experience with Valvoline Champ 4T in Suzuki GS150

AOA fellows couple of days earlier i did first change of oil in my recently purchased GS150.
and for the first time i use any 4T oil in any of my motor cycle.
valvoline is not a new brand for me i have used it in past valvoline xld 20w50 api sg/cd in my car, genset, motorcycles , and never had any complain from this oil , in fact was very much pleased with its performance but it was out of market for several months and for that reason i shifted to mobil special. now its back in market and importer has informed me that this time they got bulk quantity of it so no worries

so this time i got Valvoline Champ 4T 20W50 API SG, JASO MA2 for my Motor cycle.

my experience has been very very good till now rode 200 hundred km on new oil :

    1) engine noise has been reduced to minimum,
    2) gear shifting have become extremely soft
    3) no heating issue what so ever, bike is not feeling hot even after 25 km non stop ride to pma in afternoon
    4) more responsive engine and certainly no feeling of any type of drag in engine.

read some where over internet that riders have stretched this oil upto 2.5k km on their rides without any problem,
but for me 1.5k km is quite good for this oil.

    now the price factor.

paid 300 rupees for 0.7ltr can, 3 can for rupees 900 can do good 2 oil change with the intervals of 1.5k km on gs150 hopefully without any problem. ( have run bike on valvoline xld for 1.5k with ease) .

i am so impressed by the performance of the oil that i went and bought yesterday 5 more cans to keep in stock.

will be replacing soon the red gs150 oil with this 1 for my nephew to enjoy the ride more better.

here are few pictures of the can i took today morning.

    take care and kind regards.

update on oci of Valvoline 4t Champ ,

its has been practically checked that Valvoline can easily be use upto 1.5k km and changed above 1.5k km without any problem. recent oil changes in gs150 and cd185 twin has proven that 1k km oci is too less for this fine oil .

Disclaimer: I use another lubricant and won't use this product, the following is just the result of curiosity, nothing more. (I use Zic 4T, which they claim to be "Synthetic", although I know that the tetra/brick pack milk available in Pakistan has more rights to be called "Synthetic Milk" than most so-called "Synthetic lubricants". But, I still use it because it works for me.) So, if it works for you, great, go for it.

I was having difficulty digesting an API SG rated lubricant to be rated JASO MA2, so I looked for the product info and found its PDF. It only mentions API SG/CD, no mention of JASO, not even MA. The same PDF is also available from Valvoline Singapore's site, who seem to be the OEM for this product.

On the second picture (back side of container) the MA2 portion is partially covered by hand-written price, can you, @archon2001 please post a picture of it from a container which shows it clearly.

Brother are there any valvoline dealers in lahore? Im going to buy engine oil for my bike tomorrow and wanted to give it a try, since your review is pretty much the same as mine was when I started using liquimoly. LM, however, is twice the price. Contrary to the company's recommended drain interval of 1800-2000, I drained mine at 1000, and found it to have been in not-so-great condition.

I had a very horrible experience with liquimoly 20w-50.As i read tons of good reviews about it and thought to give a try,but unfortunately my bike started choking, the engine sound was increased.Whereas i bought the engine oil from liqui moly's franchise located in I-8.

So now i'm kinda afraid to use any engine oil which is more than 10w-40(company recommended).Bike is clocked 840km

dear its their tactics so that u buy their specific product nothing else. why don't u asked him to give it in written that u must change oil only from suzuki and of suzuki than see what happens .
first day of taken the delivery of my ride i changed battery, rear tire, replaced head light lamp with osram, installed relays, afterward changed turn signals, and before visiting them for first check up, changed engine oil with oil of my choice.
gave them the bike they took with smile no objection what so ever warranty card stamped, told them don't mess with battery, light, or change oil and they say ok.
talk to them with straight face no smile and u will see the result .

    kind regards

Adil bhai gave you a 100 percent statement. In my case, I switched to hid, changed stock muffler, installed crash guard, changed rear tyre and took oil of my choice to them for tune up and oil change. They didn't object to anything saying plz come plz come , they took my bike gently and started working right at that moment.
It's your bike and it's your choice brother.

As you now came up with, can you tell me about muffler and crash guard for gs?
