Default My Experience with Valvoline Champ 4T in Suzuki GS150

AOA fellows couple of days earlier i did first change of oil in my recently purchased GS150.
and for the first time i use any 4T oil in any of my motor cycle.
valvoline is not a new brand for me i have used it in past valvoline xld 20w50 api sg/cd in my car, genset, motorcycles , and never had any complain from this oil , in fact was very much pleased with its performance but it was out of market for several months and for that reason i shifted to mobil special. now its back in market and importer has informed me that this time they got bulk quantity of it so no worries

so this time i got Valvoline Champ 4T 20W50 API SG, JASO MA2 for my Motor cycle.

my experience has been very very good till now rode 200 hundred km on new oil :

    1) engine noise has been reduced to minimum,
    2) gear shifting have become extremely soft
    3) no heating issue what so ever, bike is not feeling hot even after 25 km non stop ride to pma in afternoon
    4) more responsive engine and certainly no feeling of any type of drag in engine.

read some where over internet that riders have stretched this oil upto 2.5k km on their rides without any problem,
but for me 1.5k km is quite good for this oil.

    now the price factor.

paid 300 rupees for 0.7ltr can, 3 can for rupees 900 can do good 2 oil change with the intervals of 1.5k km on gs150 hopefully without any problem. ( have run bike on valvoline xld for 1.5k with ease) .

i am so impressed by the performance of the oil that i went and bought yesterday 5 more cans to keep in stock.

will be replacing soon the red gs150 oil with this 1 for my nephew to enjoy the ride more better.

here are few pictures of the can i took today morning.

    take care and kind regards.

    07-06-2016

update on oci of Valvoline 4t Champ ,

its has been practically checked that Valvoline can easily be use upto 1.5k km and changed above 1.5k km without any problem. recent oil changes in gs150 and cd185 twin has proven that 1k km oci is too less for this fine oil .

AOA dear brother omair , tks for yr detail review of yr experience with valvoline 4t champ, i wish i had faster internet connection so that i can view pictures of yr recent trips u made and my dear u have some riding stamina and skills to ride for such a long distance and yr recent addition of disk brake setup in yr bike will i believe make u go further with excellent braking power i wish i can have same passion like u. yr words of satisfaction regarding valvoline will be guide line for many riders who are looking for better alternative in reasonable price tag.
just want to ask fellow riders i thing as brother omair already disclose the price tag of valvoline which is bit lower in Karachi pls do not pay more for it, if any shop keeper ask more than said price tell him he can keep same oil for massage on his head , and u go for some thing different.

on whole sale rate valvoline can be bought from their Karachi head office as i ordered dozen of can from them directly before leaving pakistan and price has not changed much in recent months which i am told recently but will confirmed once again.
valvoline head office is located in dha karachi.

a week earlier i rcvd reviews of valvoline from my younger brother who is using it in cd185 twin and from nephew who is using it in his gs150.
as per my brother first oil poured in cd185 worked for 1k km without any problem so he changed it again with valvoline according to him gear shifting became very smooth and bike was performing very well better than on the oil used before and on 2nd oil change he said he is very pleased with the performance of the oil on his bike as heating issue which was there with previous oil has reduced to minimum. this time he said he will try oil up to 1200km for sure if no reduction of perform is observed
my nephew got almost the same feeling which brother omair have shared in his review.
God bless u brother omair and ride safe always.
    take care and kind regards

Rcvd recent price change info of valvoline 4t champ. Price wef sep 2014, 1x 0.7 ltr can for 292 rupees from valvoline head office in karachi. I bought the same for 280 rupees around 5 months back. Retailers might have different price keeping their profit.
    Kind regards

    I don't like this.
Seems like oil has no detergent/sludge dispersent properties whatsoever.

seems very thick. even Suzuki has come to know that thin oils should b put esp in new rides. companies should introduce good oils in 10w-40 and 15w-40 categories as well.

.....and why not introduce a new all-rounder category like 10w-50 itself?

i totally agree on this , if u see on new motorcycle frame a sticker is pasted by pak suzuki to use sgo oil for to keep the motorcycle engine in warranty, i my self have use sgo oil for initial 300km run and then switched over to valvoline 20w50, and so far this oil has not disappoint me in running my bike engine smoothly. bike starts on first self in morning without choke, warm up time around 1 minute, clutch response is excellent ,engine response is amazing and no engine heat up issue from the time it was poured in engine.
on last oil change oil came out quite dirty but still i could have stretched it more if wanted.
what more i can expect an engine oil to do, except to lubricate, clean and protect engine and this is what valvoline 4T champ is doing and in quite reasonable price tag .

    kind regards

This means you get genuine, premium quality oils for your bikes, cars, trucks, machines and generators. All our oils available in Pakistan are made using Group 2 and Group 3 base oils. Champ 4T is made using 100% Group 2 base oil. Most of the motorcycle oils available in Pakistan are Group 1, which is a lower specification.
