Default [RESOLVED] Suzuki GS150 misfiring issue

I have been having a problem with my GS150 since the past few weeks. It does alot of missing in the cold state and the idle RPM are never stable. It tends to turn off if i try to accelerate modestly in the cold state. The overall performance gets better when it is rode around 4-5 km's and the engine is up to a high temperature though. But those first few Km's are nearly impossible to bear.
After alot of reading at PW forums, i have tried the following solutions:

    * Got it tuned from Suzuki Asif autos (A grade shop) at McLeod road Lahore
    * changed the oil (SGO) and air filter
    * changed the spark plug to NGK platinum (G power)
    * change the ignition coil to Nippon denso bottle ignition coil
    (Toyota Mark-||'s)
    * tried to set the air fuel mixture myself a few times
    * measured the battery voltage before and after starting the bike (they were adequate)

but still no use! none of these seem to solve the problem. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong here?

Haji saab, I tried using the printed values for intake and exhaust at three different occasions and couldn't get away with either o the ticking sound or startup problems.

I then looked up optimal values and they need to be same for both valves. I also consulted expert opinion such as Dan's Motorcycle Valve Adjustment

If you have a hard/physical copy of the book, you will see several typing mistakes. Heck, for intake valve, the "IN" is written as "1N".

How did you check the valve clearance? Did you set it on the TDC of Compression Stroke before you measure it?

There are two TDCs in off state. Compression and exhaust. Which one you did it on?
Did you get a reading on intake valve as well?

My dear super sleepyhead no there are not two TDC except one rotate the magnet & align this ( l ) kind of line who is embossed on magnet to arrow mark which is on engine piece here you can see intake & exhaust valves rocker arms are get loosed if not then rotate the magnet again & align the marks again here you will get perfect setting state on this setting you can adjust valves perfectly

No there are two TDCs (Top Dead Centers) in off state. Compression TDC happens right after intake valve closes.

There's one more way to check that. If you use a screwdriver and put it in the plug hole, you can feel the piston in the upright position. If that happens along with intake valve closure (it will rise), then it is "COMPRESSION TDC". Otherwise, it is not.

hi... this is a representative of Suzuki Asif Autos (as mentioned in your original post). Unfortunately, we do not recall installing a toyota ignition coil in a bike. we checked our job cards and could not retrieve any data referring to your issue. we do not even recommend any automotive parts other than Suzuki Genuine parts specially when the parts are easily available on all Suzuki dealerships. would it be possible for you to revisit our workshop so we can perform a complete checkup of your motorcycle and try to resolve the issue to the best of your satisfaction.

    thank you.
