Default My New Suzuki GS-150. Break in tips please.

By the grace of Almighty, today I have purchased myself a brand new Suzuki GS-150 motorcycle.
To meet my short commuting needs,I had an inclination towards GD-110 but I found it better in comparison because of its retro looks and more powerful engine.
I drove it 40 kilometers today, below 40kmph. I need suggestions on how to break-in the engine perfectly for longevity and better performance on all speeds.

    regards
    Qasim.

congrats bro. 40kph is a little too low for this bike, don't baby it. variate the speeds between 50-70. change the oil at 300 and then at 1000. it doesnt need any tuning, only go for tuning if you are absolutely convinced the mechanic is qualified enough. warna factory settings do the job nicely. after switching to platinum plug i have definitely noticed a difference in the idling, it's quite stable now even on a cold start.

Thank you guys. I'll try to gradually increase the speed.

First observation I've made is, I've heard some noise from chain case while shifting and also while riding at smooth speed. I susect the chain is a bit more loose. Is it fine to have loose chain during breakin or should I visit some mechanic ?

    GS-150 owners, Please pay attention.
May be it is loose chain or something else, but during ride, a 'thak' kinda noise comes from chain case sometime from rear end and some time from front end. it is extremely haunting.

another issue is when i put the bike in 1st gear, it some time makes a khattak noise, and some time it goes silently. the same noise also comes when shifiting to other gears not all the time, but sometimes.

u mean I should reduce the clutch lever's free play by adjusting the screw on the lever ?

For first 300kms plz keep the speed 40-50km/hr, plz dont exceed!
After changing first oil at 300kms you can increase speeds up to 60kmph occasionally. Keep rpms low.. dont strain the engine.
    Avoid pillion riding.
Avoid SGO oil as its crappy, use some good quality oil.

Plz stick to 40-50Kmph till first 300kms & first oil change, bcoz metal shavings inside the engine & crappy SGO oil can damage ur engine life in long run.

After first oil flush, u can take it easy
