yamaha will have good opportunity to grab market place quickly ... already low end bikes and increasing price is bad idea

its discussion forum so its open for all with constructive arguments..

for 1 : efi is proven in giving better fuel efficiency. performance.
2: looking at the sale figures of bikes in pakistan a huge majority is buying fuel efficeint 70cc Honda followed by next fuel efficien model cHonda (88cc) ,, sales of 125 are a chunk of biking market its fuel guzing is a "Major reason" for its niche market.

my point is that efi is expensive and complicated techonlogy .. carb is simple and cheap.. PLUS honda 125 is overly priced bike and if yamaha is offering no new tech (efi ) then it (yamaha) comparing its price to honda 125 is nothing but a rip off in every manner.

so 120K OR + price for Yamaha product with alloy rim +EFI is justifiable..

however 120 K + for a carbed bike with alloy rims is not justified. .

last two lines summarizes my opinion.

Suzuki increased the prices of its bikes and yesterday I got to know why.

My brother was there at Peshawar Mor Suzuki showroom for tuning of his GS-150. The showroom owner was talking to some Suzuki guys saying:

"I had demanded 170 GS-150 and you only sent 72. Those are all sold out in few days and now I'm sitting free in frustration. Please send me remaining ones ASAP".

He also told my brother that sales of GD-110 have sky rocketed. My brother's friend who bought GD-110 claims average of 72kpl, while some guy there also told him to have got 78kpl from his GD-110.
