    Default Suzuki gs 150 modifications.

    Assalam walaikum my fellow pakwheelers..!
    I am one of the proud owner of gs-150 (ALHAMDULILLAH). I want to share my experiences with this machine from last 2 years and some minor modifications which had done till yet..!

    You peoples can also share your experiences and any modifications which had done by your self...
    My hobby is to spend time on bike, in terms of any sort of repairing or modification..
    First of all when i purchased this machine, I have changed my original bulb to H.I.D..
    Secondly i changed my rear tyre to Dunlop indian tyre because the original one is actually for cycle and looks pretty bad on this heavy bike..
    Third i altered myself the rear hub rubber because when i shift the gear the strange KHATAK sounds comes from drum.. then i put some pieces of wood and rubber between metal of drum and sprocket rubber, then the result was awsome..
    Fourth is changing of headlight... Because when the electrician fit the hid ,he removed the original rubber packing of headlight which is given to seal light from dust and water... After 1.5 year the head light becomes dull and the water spots looks very untidy which goes inside the light due to the washing bike from pressure...Then one day i opened the headlight and i washed it with water from inside but when i was cleaning it with cloth after washing the reflectors shine was gone and the light becomes more ugly than before
    Then i purchased new healdight of honda cd 100 from 1s dealer of atlas honda for rs 750.. the original one is for 1000 but the difference is nothing... This time i fit light with the rubber and now i am satisfied..this light shines more than its original..
    Fifth is the alteration in speedometer... I have seen on pakwheels the guy who has altered his meter with L.E.D light..i got an idea from there and i also tried myself to alter my meter with L.E.D display... And i got success( ALHAMDULILLAH)...

    i will update you the pics very soon of each n every thing and my project of meter as well...
    (If anybody has any queries can ask me and if he want to share any knowledge and experience is also be welcome..)

    Thanks bro... I will try mrf zapper next time..can u tell me whats the price of mrf??? and u also helped me by telling me about rear drum rubber... When my bike's drum rubber wants to be changed than i will try winder rubber...thanks bro again...!))

    Your welcome bro I didn't bought mrf zapper I recently bought used gs150 which comes with this tyre and previous owner used this tyre 7000 km but still its road grip and tread pattren are very good I didn't know the price but when you visit bahadur shah zaffar tyre market kept atleast 5000 in pocket for a good tyre I think you can get mrf tyre in 4 to 4.5 k range

    Yar aap ney ignition coil aur plug sey kya difference fell kya hai acceleration aur top speed, fuel economy kasi hai

    Bro the fuel avg which i am getting is 40 km/l ...noted so many times..and i not drives slow ,mein kbhi bhagata bhi hun aur normal bhi drive krta hn aur kbhi khechta bhi hun...normally i drives between 60-80 km/h speed..
    After replacing plug and coil the throttle response improved significantly and the acceleration also improved...the rpm of bike goes to 11000 before(neutral gear) now its easily touches 12000 and more(neutral gear)...now u can understand the difference...

    Alhamdolilah mine gs is running fine on stock parts dear kindly share with me more & more details like which oil you are using in your bike & how much speed you have achieved on it & over all performance of your bike & what modifications you done in it to improve its engine performance
    Bro my tyre grouping seems ok...my bike done 10000 kms and the tyre groups or grip looks still as new..as mohsin shared his experience that mrf zapper improved his bikes road grip and it not leaves the road even using hard braking...
    I am using caltex havoline 20-50w and i think thats the best for gs... Specially in weather of karachi...and bro i did plug and ignition coil replaced for better performance ...i focus on performance fuel consumption is not much problem for me...but after coil and plug replacement the economy also improves with performance...

    My driving style is same like you but in fuel average matter i am so Lucky thanks to my almighty ALLAH my bike is giving me 47 to 50km/L & bike 18K driven until now

    Dear i got this plug for 900 rupees from plaza ..the shop keeper charge some extra charges (almost 100rs) because he deals in wholeselling or complete packet of four plugs...the platinum was cheap in price ..i think that was of 500rs... But iridium is the toughest metal thatswhy its life is also very long...

    How did you get 47 km/l last time I filled my fuel tank and ride hard and end up 25 km/l I took my bike to suzuki mechanic he check the plug and said petrol is very rich and set the mixture setting again and said now your average problem is resolved I told him my bike carb never opened please clean the carb but he refuses to open the carb I don't know why suzuki mechanic afraid of opening the gs150 carb now I filled my tank again and will again check the average if average problem is not resolved I will changed the coil, plug, clean the carb and adjust tappet at home.
