    Default New Suzuki Swift

When are we finally going to get rid of the cultus, when is suzuki actually gonna introduce a car that every1 wants to see instead of a car dat no1 wants to buy (just in case u havent figured it out, im talking about LIANA).

So does any1 have an idea when the new Suzuki Swift is gonna be introduced in Pakistan, if ever? Im looking for a small car 'n i simply dont like the VITz!

Why drink and drive, when you can smoke and fflllyyyy...

Yes I think it is good time Suzuki introduces Swift. It is going to be an instant hit. Great looks.

@Nashit very true about Suzuki, but the marekt is now changing very rapidly with so many new players in the arena and also the floodgates of used cars have been opened. Just see Toyota, there SE Saloon was selling well, but they stopped its production and brought in Altis.

I heard that Suzuki is discontinuing the Alto and bringing the new Swift later this year. I hope its true, since Swift is a good car, even got a good review on BBC's Top Gear.

    @Carpool
if watched topgear and you liked the car, well then you missed the whole point they were making fun of the car and that is what they do with non-british or no-european cars. I find Top gear to be a very biased car tv magazine. If you do not believe me, check it uout yourself , when ever they have a british car on the show they will go out of their way to compliement it. They even compliemented the Rover 75 as a very cool car, and guess what happened to it, production stopped,

Yes racer1 u r completely correct, topgear is totally biased, although the show is quite informative and entertaining but they praise all european cars no matter what and always have a detrogatory attitude towards the cars of other origins.

About the original post, well buddy, u missed the whole point there, swift will also be known as a flop if its introduces with a price tag above 8 lacs....getting my point? There's nothing wrong with liana except the price, no when the pak assembled version has been introduced, things will be quite different......
I'm not a suzuki fan as I hate the mehran, fx, cultus, khyber and alto but I do like the baleno and liana as they are better then the khatara corolla atleast......

I totally agree with racerf1 and bilalahm on top gear being a bias show. They always support rover who the hell else in this world supports rover. I think it is time right for Suzuki to introduce all new swift but base price should be well under 5 lacs. One more thing, I think Pakistan produce liana will be a super hit. The reason for that is the price of the car, unlike the imported version which prices where off the chart.

yes, the original top gear team now present another show called 5th gear. this show is better than geremy's top gear. thank Allah that our auto market has started to show signs of competition. for example Liana vs City vs XLI , santro vs joy vs cultus, alto vs exclusive vs coure, REVO vs mehran. we are moving in the right direction MashaAllah.

Here's whatTop Gear's site has to say about the new Swift:

"Think Suzuki Swift and you'll either come up with a blank or thoughts bedeviled with ropey build and driving standards. Well, kiss all of that goodbye and take a look at the latest Swift. It looks great, modern and cohesive, slick and bold. This is a small that has the looks to take on the Mini at its own game.

It's also up the challenge of tempting buyers away from the Mini with the way it drives. There's decent grip, a well-controlled body and ride that soaks up most obstacles, although it bigger potholes can be felt through the cabin.

Where the Swift easily outdoes the Mini is interior space. Four adults will fit inside comfortably and there's a five-door model to make rear access even easier than it is in three-door version. Better still, the five-door does not compromise the good looks.

Two petrol engines, a 1.3 and 1.5, do a solid job of powering the Swift. The 1.5 is the better bet for its greater refinement, while a 1.3 turbodiesel is on the way for economy-minded buyers.

With good build quality and prices that undercut the Mini by a significant margin, the Swift should be on you radar in the small car sector."

Hardly seems like they are making fun of the car, and if you saw the show you'd realize they were actually having fun WITh the car :p Being a British car show they are obviously biased towards British and European cars. But i have seen good reviews of atleast some American and Japanese makes as well.

100% agree with Racerf1, if you guys see the program in which the review the corvet (american car) how badly they reviewed it, and when they talk about jaguar or land rover, their language, body gestures suddenly changes, although i like this programa but when the british car come into play top gear team forget all the ethics. i am sorry if my comments hurt any one.
