    Hi all,

My friend has a 2012 model dlx. It has 2012 manufacturing date written on original docs.

Now my question is that why does it have the old jvc player and not the new alpine(silver) one?

What could be the reason for that?

Depends. Could have invoice of 2012 but car of 2011. I am not sure what month/year Suzuki released the new Alpine player.

As of fact, many people are doing this, getting car in december and picking up invoice in 2014 so they can have" 2014" model car lol

Ok maybe but the manufacturing date on the registration docs is based on the invoice from the company, no?

And also can anybody please let me know can the alpine player be installed in place of the jvc player without any problem? Is it a bolt on fit? Just take out the jvc and put in the alpine one?

Probably is, i don't know how registration works.
And for the Alpine player it should be a direct fit with no adding of parts etc.

    Yup.
You're better off retrofitting them yourself or get it done by some one else.

In khi, the ones selling are made in taiwan, not made in china. So i think they must be good.

Bro o have check both types and makes.....Taiwan and China....both have halogen projectors not Hid ones and the single projector ones are also halogen but if u find them in scrap yards then they are truly off the sports variant which are bi-xenon hid projectors.....
