Average of a 13,800km driven swift.
Engine oil: LM synthoil 5w-40( 8800km driven)
    Genuine oil filter(950)
    Air filter(Leppon 300 something)
Tire pressure: 33 front 30 back
Gears changed at low rpm, red lined the car on the way to petrol station, ahh that feeling driving at 110 in 3rd gear:p

Oh, did a trip to Lahore via gt road as well, and the rest was driven in city.

Fuel refilled: 39.19 liters first, then 10 liters afterwards. Fuel filled today: 38.77 liters. Average turns out to be : 14.35 kmpl. Not bad? Name: ImageUploadedByPW Forums1389958427.284873.jpg

You have a very dusty car. Do you drive with windows down? You know they did a show on The Top Gear or it was Richard Hammond's show, I forgot, but what they showed was that if you are driving on a highway with the windows down, you will burn more fuel (as the drag of the car increases with the windows down) as compared to turning the Aircon On.

I keep them up just to keep the car clean.

Nope. I drive only with windows down in city. On high speeds, windows up or ac.

It's dusty because I haven't cleaned&washed it for 3 weeks I washed the car at home today, and just cleaned the floor mats.

Where does the water actually enter from and does it start to smell if not dried out?

    This is my theory.

On top of the roof, near the antenna, there is a slight gap between end of roof and the trunk top. Water is meant to go through there, and escape from under the rear bumper. Somehow it reaches the spare tire area. When i got delivery of my car, every time i washed it, water used to stay inside the doors and leak from the rubber seals. Suzuki sucks big time in quality.

And, i am not sure about the smell, first time happening to me :L.

What i hated about my first complain, they got a water bottle and showed me that it doesn't leak.
I told them straight up, mate, i'm busy. I am not a warranty hwore who's gonna show up everyday just because i got a car in warranty. You gotta fight for your rights hehe

That would be heat damage to the plastic housing IF everything else is left as is and 100w bulbs are put in.

You set things up properly and you're good to go.

Okay, urrm Faisalabad to Lahore on GT road is 120 KM. So that makes it 240Km round trip.
Then we drove to Liberty market and a few other places in Lahore. The rest was done in City of Faisalabad.

Got another fuel average check coming up, tomorrow. Tired from Islamabad trip

It means you had an average of around 18 km/l for the highway for which you consumed 13 litres of Fuel. And you travelled roughly 455km in city for with 35 Litres of Fuel at an average of 13 km/L.

That's good average. Just stop hitting the red zone. It's marked red for a reason you know.

P.S Whenever you drive any car, usually the best mileage speed is where your you speed needle is exactly vertical. It's 90 for Swift.

[QUOTE=swati_freaked;4213653]By the way Faisalabad and Lahore k darmian road, GT road nahin hai.[/QUOTE

It's not called G.T road? never knew that Maybe it's called Sheikhupura road.
And, went for a refuel today, only 10 liters ATM was not giving any more cash so yes.

This is just estimated fuel average, cannot be 100% sure, since i didn't fill the tank.

Drove 735 Km total. 55 Km in Faisalabad city, Motorway towards Islamabad, then Airport and finally Blue Area(Emirates office, Muhammadi Plaza.)
We drove at 60 kmph for about 35 km because of dense fog on Motorway towards Lahore, then i maintained speed of 110-120 till Kallar Kahar. Driver took over from there, and drivers have crazy gear changes.

    Me: 1st, @10. 2nd @ 20. 3rd @30. 4th @ 50. 5th @70.
    Driver: 1st @20. 2nd@40. 3rd@60. 4th@ 80. 5th @100. He drove from Kallar kahar till airport.

I then drove from Airport to Blue area^^ and on the way back until Chikri at speed 120-130. Refueled for 1000rupees @ 8.82 Liters.

Driver then drove all the way until home. According to the figures, i estimated the fuel average to be 15.4 Kmpl.

EDIT: on the way, car was loaded with 3 passengers and 75Kg of Luggage^
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Bro, its unscientific one.. waiting for proper update myself. Anyhow this is what I know as of today.

When my brother got the car from showroom, he asked about how much petrol is in the car. He was told "thora hi hai". So there is no confirmation how much fuel was there when he drove Swift out of the showroom.

If I have to make a guess, lets assume it was 2 liter. He drove it and went straight to petrol station, where he filled 25 liter (he should have gone for full tank but he didn't).

    Total fuel = 27 liter (25 confirmed + 2 assumed)

Total distance travelled until reserve light came on = 280KM

He refilled second time when reserve light came on (full tank this time), total fuel filled-in 34.95 liter

Assuming the tank capacity of 40 liter and reserve of 6 liter, we can say that he used about 22 liter for 280KM

    280/22 gives 12.72KM/liter

NOW, this is all based on assumption because of uncertainty of fuel in the car before delivery and the fact that he did not get tank full for the first time.

The next refill will tell much accurate mileage for sure.
