    Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get this installed in my Swift from somewhere. The local Swift comes with a simple clock only but this can easily fit in the same housing and it would be very good addition in my view. It came with JDM Swift and those sold in other countries and includes the following:-
    1. Clock
    2. Outside temperature
    3. Fuel consumption (instantaneous / average)

Hi I've been riding A/T version. Since I bought I am trying to find another rider on road but so far in last 2 months didn't got a chance to find any one with A/T.

I think A/T is just great. Of course it might be lacking any thing which any A/T may not give you against its M/T version. (* quick pick, your choice to up/down gears, mileage) But at the same time it gives you extra comfort, ease of drive and with A/T one can not harm engine by rough driving as compare to M/T.

Hi I recently had a trip on Motorway on my SWIFT Automatic. Just want to share few details regarding long drive Mileage.

*Please note* my trip also included some portion in City as when I Reset ODO Meter at time of Tank Full I was 15KM away from Motorway and after reaching destination (Chakwal) I also drove around 10 K in City area.

    Model: Automatic
ODO Meter: 1100 KM (just done 1000km checkup a day ago)
    Departure Time: Day (11 AM)
    Climate: Moderate Temperature / Dry
    From: Rawalpindi.
Passengers: 2 Adults (front) 1 Kid (back)
Mostly kept speed on Motorway: 120 ~ 130 KM/hr (very easily)
Max speed I noticed: 150 KM/hr. (Please note I mostly drove calm and I never intended to check its max speed. however as it easily touched 150KM/hr, so I believe it can easily go 160~170
Total Distance Achieved on returning back to Gas pump: 264KM
Refilled Petrol to full the tank (same station / same terminal): 20.3 Liters

    So the Average Mileage is:
    13KM per Liter.

On my way back there was very long traffic jam before existing Tool Plaza. It was Sunday and its usual. So this long drive trip also have good portion of In city drive I would say 40 KM and traffic jam is at least 5KM in which it was really slow drive If I had M/T I must have been changing Gear between N and 1 for like 100 times.

Hopefully with pure long drive it could have given me 15K with A/T drive. What you guys say??

^^ best way to monitor fuel average is to find and install the device I just mentioned , then you can test your car's economy under various conditions

I also wanted to know that. I was able to get refill the tank full. I guess that light is 'On' when 3 liters left.
but like manual says it can vary as per position of vehicle on ground

The best way to measure fuel average is by the way sinnan has done it, the device averages are not exact.

best method: empty your fuel tank, fill it with 1 litre of petrol, reset the trip meter and drive it like you normally do and measure the no of kms done..simple
caution: keep a backup of a litre as reserve in another bottle, which u can fill up after ure done with the method.

Not recommended as it is recommended by all manufacturers that always keep quarter fuel tank as otherwise fuel pump has to work hard. Just fill the tank full, reset the trip meter to zero and drive and refill to full and note the reading on trip meter. Devide the distance traveled by fuel filled and you have the average.

Yes forgot to add that disclaimer...NOT recommended at all because it is an extreme measure....i use the same method of filling it upto full and then noting down the trip meter recording and dividing it by the no. of litres of fuel recently filled in the tank..gives the approx avg.

    Got my Fourth Tank full.
    Trip Meter Reading: 408km
    Litres Filled: 38.48
    Fuel Average (approx): 10.6km/l
    Cost per kilometer: Rs9.5
Average was not good this time considering the past history but this time it was driven more roughly in some cases and more driven in areas of traffic so I am still a satisfied user. The only thing bothering me is the suspension...

Have you checked the tyre pressure? Try deflating the tyres a bit and it will imporve phenominally.

recent driven cars under use were Chevrolet Exclusive 2004 and is Honda Civic 2010 and comparing that with Swift, Swift has a hard suspension. the whole car jerk here and there if on a bumpy road. goes comfortably over the speed breakers +1 but if there are patches on the road or even minor cracks...u feel them...will try deflating to 30psi in all..
