Bro, I would just like to tell you something about the red colour. If you are opting for that new red which is phoenix red then do have a look at it in night, m saying this coz i was also about to go for that new red as it looks very good nd sporty in but i witnessed one on the road at night and changed my mind and opted for black instead as it kinda looked different to me at night, kind of difficult to describe the difference actually but i would just suggest u to also witness it at night or compare it in direct sunlight at during night if u havent.
But it is just based on my opinion and liking if u already like it and are sure about it go for it, it is one sexy colour just not what i was expecting

Just because of a smaller engine size, doesn't mean that it always gives better fuel economy.
What I meant, Swift has an old engine- The same that was used in Liana, launched in 2006.
A Hilux Vigo will give approx. 10-11 on motorway, it has 1200cc more engine power than the M13-A in Swift.

Bigger engines do not always consume twice/thrice and so on compared to a smaller engine.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

    Hi Guys,

I recently got my Swift's 5000 km service done. They changed engine oil and gear oil. After this, now the problem is the gear shifting is a bit uneasy and hardened, sometimes the second gear takes an effort. Wonder what has happened...it was better before the service. After the oil change, it has become bad.

    Any suggestions?

I've been having good average from day one.

Tire pressure : front 34 and rear 31.
Air filter: guard. Always bought from Metro and thrown away every 2000km.
Engine oil: any 5w40 fully synthetic oil.
Hypermiling: yes. Gear changes at 2500 rpm.

The initial average in the first 5000km was 11/12 kmpl with ac.

    TL;DR: keep calm drive calm.

You guys are very lucky the official fuel economy figure for the car on the official specification sheet available at globalsuzuki.com was around 12.5 for urban. I have this spec sheet with me somewhere I will upload and share with you. (it's no longer on their website as the Paksuzuki swift model was phased out in 2009-10 everywhere). The Swift I have drives perfectly fine and I am already implementing everything stated by fellow members here including : good oil filter, good air filter, tire pressure, plus, engine oil, rpm at gear change, etc.

The last average I got with A/C was only 9.7 km/l

The only thing as zianadeem1 also pointed out is cleaning fuel injectors. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any place that carries out ultrasonic fuel injector cleaning in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. Has anyone got their fuel injectors cleaned ?

Let's present a challenge to everyone here.
Fill tank when fuel is low to the max, fill it yourself. Fill until you can see fuel near the neck of the Filling hole. Drive till low light and fill it back to the neck.

Lets see who gets the best fuel efficiency. this will cost you about 9000-9500 rupees.

You will be required to clean or replace the air filter, hypermile and keep an eye on the tire air pressure.

Hi. Do you face this problem in the morning on a cold engine? That's usual with most manual cars- the gear oil is cold and thick. Sometimes my reverse gear gets stuck, I just depress and press the clutch again, it works out for me.

Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.
