They seem to be the lucky ones i guess. I have not managed to get more than 10 from my 2015 dlx.

Friend of mine gets 10.5 from bis to 2011 dx

    Brother's 2013 dlx gives him 9.5

And cousin is getting 10 from his 2013 dx

Have you ever driven a VTEC honda vehicle ? if you hit VTEC again and again at the end of the day your car mileage would drop remember VTEC is basically alter lift of valve high lift = more air fuel in combustion chamber to generate more torque

I know that Its VT+EC, so it does have VVT too for better performance at low and high RPMs.

Well i don't Face these problems as i have a JDM auto but still its always best to let the engine run idle for 5 min minimum. Especially in the morning. And when u wake ur car after a long sleep in the cold.
    This is what i do.

Has this problem always been there or a new one? If you notice very closely almost all modern cars have a slightly higher rpm at first cold start up. It's kind of an auto choke to rapidly get all lubricants going after a sitting period. Since my current experiences are only related to Automatic cars so I can't comment about gear being hard. But the last manual i had was 4 years back and it was a Liana, what you have described was exactly there in that car. Immediately after first cold start up it's gear used to be hard and rpm slightly higher. Would fade away after a few minutes and get normal. Specially the reverse gear felt like being stuck.
So yes, never bring a car immediately into any motion till its warm after a cold start up.

I believe its normal for every modern car to warm itself up. Your RPM will be between 1k to 2k during cold start for around 2 mins. Hardening of gear is a strange problem which is related to cold. Could be due to change in chemical properties of gear oil you are using which changes with temperature?

    Default Fuel efficiency related issue

My Swift was giving 11.5 to 12 km/liter in summer (Without AC) and about 13 km/liter in Winter when I drive it in Lahore. My car remained parked for about 1 month when I went out of country. Fuel efficiency has decreased to 9-10 km/liter even in cold weather when I start using my car after coming back Lahore in mid October 2015.
What can be possible reasons for such decrease in fuel average???
I have never parked my car for such a long period. It was in use every day from last 2.5 years.

Change your oil and filters. Stagnant fluids lose their chemical properties and linkage. Oxidisation comes to effect.
Also, Use some hi-octane after changing oils/fluids. Drive a tank and it'll all be set hopefully. Mix 40% max with 60% ordinary petrol. Try doing some high rev driving, not saying constantly but about 1/3rd or 1/4th of tank on high revs. That'll help clear out any clogging specially in your car's air flow.

My swifts brakes have been behaving oddly lately.

    story is as such.

I notice brakes making odd sqeaking and GRR GRR noise a while back .

I take it to the suzuki center.

They tell me alignment is off ( the driver side wheel was unevenly worn )
I also noticed that the right wheel when the car was up on jacks is hanging lower then the left side. Not by much, but about a inch, maybe 1.5 about.

I dident have time to get it aligned right there and then, and the alignment was not to such a degree that it is a large issue ( going straight on ring road, let go of wheel, it takes the car 10-15 seconds to turn noticeably to the right side. )

I also notice that when someone else is driving the car, the brakes let out a high pitched squeak when used.
Note there has been no degradation in braking performance whatsoever. There is also no shaking , jerking , shuddering or anything like that during braking. aside from the GRR GRR / squeak noise every now and then, they work fine.

Ill be getting my paycheck in a few days and will go get the car aligned, and deal with the worn tyre but can anyone tell me anything about the squeaking brakes and one wheel being lower then the other? Is this any sort of brake rotor damage or suspension damage?

Or should i just get the car aligned and then see if there are any noises.

The squeaking brakes have never had anything to do with alignment. If Suzuki guys gave you alignment as a justification for squeaky brakes they are idiots and you should complain about them: illiterates who don't know stuff about a car are not supposed to be working in an authorised workshop.
The squeaky brakes have a possible reason of your brake pads being worn out. If not, then your brake pads are fake or substandard. Or they need service. Or at some point too much worn out brake pads had scratched the disc and as a result now that noise is there. For that light tooling is the answer.
The worn out wheel however is due to alignment. Try swapping the tyre inside-outside on the rim (unless rotational/directional tyres). Then do tyre rotation i.e bring rear tyres to the front and take front to the back. Rotation+Alignment+Balancing should be done ideally every 10000 kms so your tyres will evenly wear out. About one tyre being lower than the other, that can't be figured out till you get the alignment done.

Thanks for the lightning fast reply.
The suzuki guys never said anything about the alignment being the cause, they looked at the abnormally worn drivers side wheel and then said

" sir pahlay alignment hoi gi to phir dykha jaye ga "

Ill visit the center on the 5th or so and get it aligned and rotate the tyres.

The squeaky brakes are only making noise on that particular side which also has uneven tyre wear, not sure if they are linked somehow or not.
