Default Looking for intake and exhaust modification

Okay guys Ive got a 2011 model local swift in maroon, its run almost 4000kms and im loving the car. Im planning on getting performance mods and have been looking around.

I will get iridium spark plugs and a stabiliser once Ive done some further running. But right now im looking to get an air intake, but people are saying its not possible because of space in the engine bay and positioning of the airbody, ive seen some people post pictures of custom intake jobs they did, i would love some help guys.

Secondly, im looking to get a more free exhaust air flow (not just loud look-at-me mufflers), imported company cat-backs are damn expensive and ive heard i can get custom downpiping fixed. Id love some help on that too.

Help out a fellow swift hopeful, those who know what theyre talking about please

    Unhappy My swift experience

hi guys. i have bought my swiftDX in december 2011.
    nice car great drive.
bt i have a problem about his fuel consumption. it gives me 8 to 9 in city with AC in city and in long 12 to 13.5. i dnt uderstand whats the problem is. i got it checked in suzuki central motors at 5000km chkup they just low the gap of spark plugs even then the milage is same.at 5200 kms i again visit the central mtrs workshop. again the spark plugs distance is more than the default gap. the gap is again adjusted.but the result is same. i also drive the car at normal speed with not so high RPM.
At 5500 kms i changed the spark plugs with new ones (NGK BKR6E) frm suzuki jan motors workshop. the new plugs give me a liitle bit affect. bt it stills not gave me a good economy of 12-13 in city and 15-17 in long as of other swifts.
help required. what should i do?

1.Change the plugs to iridium Denso IK20/NGK IFR6J11.Denso you can get from JZ at PW but only use IK20.

2.Keep the air pressure 32 in front, 30 in rear.

    3.Keep your air filter clean.

4.Use ZIC XQ 5W40 engine oil.

5.Avoid fast accelerations and RPM range should be 1500-2500.

    6. Get the settings checked by Suzuki during regular service by OBD tool and check if they are normal.

    7. Keep the AC air filter clean.

Normally the average should improve after 5000.Do these and it should go to 12 atleast in city.

Hello. I own a blue swift DX and have driven it above 25000KMs. No big problems at all. Good acceleration and road grip. Knocking sound from speakers is however faced and adjusted accordingly. The mileage has been good. In winter i managed Multan-lahore-multan in one tank.
The problem i face right now is the suzuki pioneer motors multan replaced my plugs to NGK and i feel the drive heavier. The average has dropped quite a bit and so is pickup. Plz suggest.
I generally drive in the range of 90-100. I am planning to go to NARAN on this ride with family, is the road clearance suitable for this?
Is it worth increasing the tyre size to 195?

Change the plugs as i mentioned above, if u can't then use the plugs brand mentioned in owner's manual and no other. Also look at my above post.
Road clearance is suitable for pakistani road conditions, i have gone till nathia gali on swift and no issues but don't know about naran.I think must be OK.

Swift automatic has been launched. Price is 13,11000 which seems too high. Here is the TV ad :

    Default 5000km service time!

I am going to go in for the 5000kms service this weekend. I am going to have the following done.

Oil Changed to Mobil 1 fully synthetic (its 5w-50 i think)
    Coolant changed to caltex red
    Gear Oil - any suggestions??
plugs to NGK iridiums (what about suzuki genuine iridiums? doesn't swift already have those?)
Oil filter change - ? genuine or aftermarket?

I need your recommendations/suggestions on the above choices. has any one installed aftermarket filters/intakes??

    Dear

Check the oil grade it should be 5w40, 5w50 is not recommended.
Which Ngk u are installing, these should be Ngk ifr6j11.
Coolant doesn't need to be changed.
Oil filter is to be genuine suzuki.

    Hi,

You seem to be experienced with the swift so i am posing these questions to you

The dealer keeps adding water to my coolant and i am afraid the quality will go down, hence i want to change it. Any reason why this could be bad??
Thanks for the note on the plugs and the engine oil!! Can you suggest a gear oil as well?? why is a 50 grade oil bad?

50 grade oil is not recommended by suzuki. It is thick oii used for older engines. It will also give bad fuel economy.
Use suzuki recommended gear oil, check owners manual and use that.
Coolant is good enough for 30000 kms. Always add coolant yourself if needed. Ratio of coolant to water is minimum 50:50 and maximum 70:30 so keep that like it. If you change coolant follow the process mentioned in swift workshop manual, I have posted the link in this thread, download it.

Try gs oil's gear oil 75w-85. For change interval, consult the owner's manual
