A well kept slightly older car is better than a messed up new car. I've seen people treat cars so bad that cars get major problems within a year.

Exactly. I also used to have a Smile on my face when my Swift used to achieve 280 km in half tank marker, after that I only get about 120-30 km for the rest, until the fuel light comes on.....What type f'ed up fuel gauge is this!

My car does about 300km on half tank, and further 150-170 on last half.
I usually refill just when the reserve light turns on and refill is 36-38 litres.

I usually refill from Shell which is located in main part of city. Will try the total pump which is opposite it tomorrow
Exactly. Same thing here. What type of F'ed up Fuel Gauge is this!

^This is true for almost all cars. the gauge is logarithmic not linear.

    ^THANK YOU.

Guys, the gauge is not an absolute measure of how much fuel you have in your tank. Floor it for around 20-30kms, do nothing but redline, and notice how quick the needle comes down. That is the car actually telling u that with your current style of driving, this is the petrol consumption you should expect.

Many times in the three years I've kept the swift, I've noticed the needle actually go up if I adopt a completely opposite style of driving. This is the car telling me, again, that with the way I am driving I should expect the displayed petrol consumption.

The gauge doesn't tell u how many litres you have. The gauge tells u how much mileage to expect with your current driving style. I've explained this 5-6 times before too in this very thread.

    Hope this helps (again ).

i had query regarding SGO being fully synthetic so i asked it on their FB page, below was there strange, rather amusing response:

"Hey Adil, SGO is a Mineral Oil,Synthetic Oil is not recommended in Suzuki engines. Hope that clears you. "

I just want to know that has anyone noticed any issue with synthetic oil is swift?
