New suzuki swift 1.2L being launched in Japan with dual jet K-series engine, start stop function and brake energy regeneration which will give 26Km/l average. Hope suzuki launches this(although suzuki never launches new models here)it will be great.

Apart from the higher mileage figure, the facelifted JDM Swift features an instrumentation console that changes colour depending on throttle inputs and the brake energy regeneration system?s working. Also, a reprofiled front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps, a new grille and revised alloy wheels are the visual changes on the facelifted 2014 Swift hatchback. The interesting takeaway from the 2014 JDM Swift?s showcasing is that the changes are eventually expected to appear on the India-spec facelifted Swift, likely to be launched here in 2014.
The interesting bits of the facelifted Swift will involve the mileage boosting features: Dualjet injector technology, start-stop and brake energy regeneration. Talking of Dualjet technology, Suzuki now uses two injectors per cylinder, a mileage boosting solution that is cheaper than the piezo electric injectors found in direct injection motors. The twin injectors allows Suzuki to bump up the compression ratio to boost power and mileage. Bumping up compression ratio without compensating by using high octane fuel of retarding engine timing usually results in pinging/knocking.
This is where the Dualjet injector technology comes into its own. The twin injectors are placed closer to the combustion chamber to avoid knocking. Also, the dual injectors inject fuel into two ports instead of one, for more complete combustion. This system has been optimized to boost fuel efficiency. Along with start-stop and brake energy regeneration (ENE-CHARGE), the 2014 JDM Swift delivers a much better mileage figure than the pre-facelift model. Also, the 2014 JDM Swift used ECO-COOL (A fluid to cool air coming from the air conditioner even when the engine is switched off through the start-stop system) and low resistance tyres.

Pakistani Suzuki has most parts imported. They say 90% but that's bull
Crap. I like swift tho looks like a cat to me <333 I really want the auto swift ;p

Btw experts- I am near the 10,000 km mark so should I just change filter, since I'm using Liqui moly fully synthetic. Changed to LM at 5000 km. dealer said I can use until 10,000 km

my 45 days old swift got hit by an idiot motorcyclist frm rear! rear wind screen gone, rear bumper damaged , rear fender (my biggest concern) has a big awkward dent! witnesses told tht idiot was wheeling, went out of control and hit my car, happened so quickly tht i literally have no idea how it did happen! tht was a motorcycle mechanic, apparently riding someone's else bike, underaged etc, he was fine though

thankfully car is insured, suzuki dealer gave me two options:

    1) repair the fender, potene has to be used for smoothen it out
    2) replace the rear fender with new one, with guarantee tht it will be undetectable etc

since its insured, cost is no issue, insurance guy has no issue with the extra cost in 2nd option, WHAT DO YOU GUYZ SUGGEST abt both the options? i like the 2nd one, provided its done professionally (a friend had good experience with them in past, Suzuki RWP motors)

Replacing parts are much better than fixing them- no matter how much tweaking you do, it will never be the same as before.

Another + point of having insurance

Go to the dealer and ask them to fix it. Visited last week and the maintenance person placed grease in the wire assembly. He just asked me: " Do you have a couple of minutes/", placed grease. So far so good........lets wait for a couple of weeks to see if returns...

If you need parts, you can always go to Suzuki and get them. They have a special software for that, i might share a picture so you can get a faint idea.
