if u can, i would suggest sticking to manual DLX for a number of reasons.
- Swift has 1328cc 91bhp engine. the auto tranny Pak Suzuki provides with it is 4 speed hence a car that already has a fuel average of 11-13kmpl in manual will end up 9-11 on auto. so with auto, u will sacrifice the main thing swift is famous for i.e. power
However if auto suits u, there is nothing to worry about reliability. ur car will be brand new with 2 years warranty. plus 3S dealerships will have all parts and expertise at their disposal to resolve any such problems a peace of mind u will never have with JDMs. however u will take a hit with resale of auto.
2- I own a 2012 DLX and never faced seepage problem. however few owners did face this problem but it is only due to a faulty seal on the back which can be resolved by the 3s dealership if u encounter it and ur car is in warranty.
also check the Swift Owners club thread to gather more info. as i mentioned earlier, i also own a 2012 DLX almost 16k on the dial now. got 2nd hand but i m truly happy with it and I thank to God every passing day that i didn't made the stupid decision to buy a used (abused actually) JDM.
