Do not go for swift, swift is worst value for money car these days, what does it have ? Old m13a engine ? Not so fuel efficient, no leg room in back seat, i am 5.10 and even my knees touch front seat back. In addition you have to pay more tax as it falls in 1.3-1.5 liter engine range and price tag is very high.

Only good is shape and speed and both are unpractical things, within city you hardly can push it, shape is good but its 5 years old.

So what can be good alternatives ? Honda city either new or slightly used.

If jdm is the option then you can consider Aqua, honda fit.

Tire pressure higher than 30 will ruin your suspension.

Op if you want better average than DONT go for swift, gives around 10 and maybe if you drive it with a really light foot ( why did you even buy this car if you want to drive it with a light foot ) 11,
apart from that the annual token tax will be more especially if you are non filer

People claim bold averages of swifts , but mostly from what i have seen in my car and other owners 11 is a descent figure .

Sure you can get a passo , but for me its interior is just bland and a BIG turn off

If you want new and can digest the madified bolan shape then go for wagon R,

Vitz is also an option but it has vibration issues on idle , noisy engine , very under powered ( I own a 2010 model)

all depends on what your requirements are and how much you want to compromise, do you want auto/manual , new/ used, pkdm /jdm
start short listing cars according to the above options and then find a clean car that you have selected (if used)

You are very lucky. Your urban fuel economy is even more than the official advertised fuel economy of the European 2004-2010 (PKDM 2010 - Present) Swift given in the company's official specifications sheet.

Shape was launched in Japanese market in late 2004 and discontinued by 2010 in all countries (expect Pakistan). By worldwide comparison shape is 11 years old now and globally obsolete.

There we go. Again for those who still think Swift average is poor. Exactly before and after hitting reserve!

    Shortlisted these three...

    Swift
Cuore (any manual model newer than 2008/09)
    Cultus (manual)

Cuore is too small in size. However not sure if you are going for JDM/PKDM or CL/CX Eco
Cultus gives you best fuel economy but have poor comfort, no power-steering and no ABS. I was Cultus user from 2003-2008 to 2008-2014.
Swift is power-steering, ABS, 1300cc DOHC 16v MPFI (but non-VVT), power-windows and equipped with immobilizer. However, people claim to experience poor milage on Swift which I think depends on driving style. Less rear leg-space was a big turn off for me however.

I would say there is a big difference between Swift and Cuore/Cultus price. You may consider Wagon-R too but its shape is a turn-off again.
