I fail to understand one thing.....how can a recall in another continent impact the "launch" of the same car in another continent with different standards and vehicular laws.
A respected pak wheels member mentioned that because honda civic was recalled in the states, its launch will be delayed in Pakistan.
How do you come up with such stuff?!
A recall in west generally means that u take ur car back to the dealership who send it back to the factory or fix the issue at their own workshops and give the car back to the original owner.
Common sense ki baat hai....whatever the issue the honda civic had in the states, obviously other honda dealers in other countries (like atlas in Pak) would check into that issue before even launching the car on the roads.
If im not wrong the recall is because of some component missing in the piston area of the engine.
Yes a recall would have affected the launch of civic in pakistan if there would have been a design flaw in the build of the car or its engine. The issue is totally different over here. But over here they missed out in putting that component there in the first place while manufacturing.
And lets be realistic, ever heard of a recall here in Pakistan?! Auto manufacturers recall cars due to the fact they dont want to be sued by hundreds of their customers in those countries. Theres no such concept here in Pakistan.
I will request again, get over the "it will launch, it wont launch" debate. Honda 10th gen coming to Pak in 2016 is a reality. Peace out
