If we are getting the same old 1.8 in new body then I am not interested, and I think I am not alone here. People like me are more into how well a car drives and how many great goodies it has, than how it looks. By goodies I mean things like hybrid engine for instant torque and better fuel economy for example vezel and fit are good upgrade options. In case of new civic it'd be the turbo engine, LED headlights, adaptive cruise, lane-watch, wireless phone charging, powered seats, variable ratio steering, traction control, hydraulic dampeners in suspension and the list goes on.
Why go through the hassle of selling the older model and then add more money and buy basically the same thing. It's not like we are going to get the 17" alloys or that amazing entertainment system with iphone/android support. We'll get a trimmed down khota like it always have been. We are drooling over the US version which we are not going to get. Even the 9th gen US version looks great compared to what we have here.
If I am upgrading from a cultus, city or corolla then why the heck not. But if I already have the 8th or 9th gen then I don't see the point.
Don't want to spoil things for the fans, just sharing my thought process.
