Some people here seem to be having great liking for CVT transmission. Do remember that this is an inferior type of transmission based on patta (پٹا) technology. This technology was earlier introduced in City. But there were problems as inherently the patta is meant for light load and horizontal roads. In northern areas when ppl went with their first generation CVT technology cars, they faced problems as patta would heat up and slip.
On the other hand no such problem with prosmatic transmission, as it uses real steel gears. Kindly note that more expensive car manufacturers producing high performance cars are avoiding CVT for this reason and adding more and more gears instead.
