Building up anticipation and not delivering (even if on the perception alone) can generate a very negative backlash. Especially considering the unconfirmed prices being thrown around, this model will take a hit from the negative backlash from the masses. Select few enthusiasts (inclusive of many genuine enthusiasts, some Atlas shills and marketing folks) do not represent the wider market dynamics. With the currency conversion differential ever more in Atlas' favor and lower taxation bracket for 1.5l engine, pricing will be key to make or break this model.
I wonder if Atlas is looking at stripping model of features to bring down price to reasonable bracket or eyeing the 1l engine (in future) to provide an alternative.
Also, discussing detailed implication of new auto policy on this launch is need of hour so that consumers are aware of their rights and privileges (if any) in this regard.
