You're are so right, I think that they're going to bring their own prices down and force those companies out. Once those companies are out, they'll raise their prices again and everything would be as it is now.
These companies can't force the new companies to join hands with them because they also have to follow a set way of rules, Audi as an example has to follow the international prices as well and in the case of the A3 would be placed around $31,000 which Honda wouldn't be able to beat no matter what, because nobody is going to buy a Civic whose price is so close to an Audi.
Likewise, in the case of Kia, nobody is going to buy a Gli or City when they can buy a Kia Rio for around $14,000 or a Kia Forte for around $16,000 which have more features than these cars and are cheaper.
