I don't own Porsche and my coworker owns an old Ford focus we both have TPMS and as far as my car.. it does not activate by rotations.. tire pressure goes low and light lit up. In my car there is TPMS calibration. So when the tire pressure is accurate in all wheels after fill up.. you press and hold a button for few seconds and sensors are calibrated to set pressure.. if it goes low under certain PSI.. it will lit up the light..
Yes in cold morning, sometime the light lit.. but after few miles it will either go away or I have to physically check the pressure to see if it dropped below certain level.
